See Berlin from a different viewpoint today – the Spree River. After a two-hour scenic coach ride, you’ll begin your best-bits tour of Germany’s capital. First up, you'll be visiting one of the country’s most iconic landmarks – the Brandenburg Gate. Pass one of the remaining stretches of the Berlin Wall, and take a closer look at the Nikolai Quarter, where Berlin was supposedly founded in 1230. Next in line is a picturesque boat ride through the city, which takes in the Berlin Cathedral and the Reichstag building – once home to the German Parliament. After lunch, you’ll continue to western Berlin for a drive-by of the Victory Column, the tree-lined ‘Unter den Linden’ boulevard, and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church. Finally, you’ll finish up at the lively Kurfurstendamm for a spot of shopping.
The drive to Berlin takes about 3 hours.
