Leaving Palamos behind, head for Figueres, the capital of the Alt Empordà where Dalí was born. Your sightseeing kicks off with a look at some of the most important places in this town, en route to the famous Dalí Museum. The museum is housed in a former theatre, next to the ‘Torre Galatea’ where Dalí lived until his death in 1989. See the remarkable Dalí collection, which includes a vintage Cadillac, paintings, sculptures, drawings and sketches by the artist. The Dali Museum is the second most visited museum in Spain after ‘El Prado’ in Madrid.
