If one or more of your party has got walking difficulties but you still want to explore Rome together, we’ve arranged a tour that can be enjoyed from the comfort of an air-conditioned coach. It’s a full sightseeing tour of the ‘Eternal City’ that involves just a little walking. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy. On arrival in Rome you’ll meet up with a local guide who’ll give you a running commentary of all the sights. Your journey will then follow the ‘classical itinerary’, through the archaeological part of the city that was once the centre of Rome’s political and religious life. Get ready for sights like the Colosseum and the well-preserved Arch of Constantine, dominated by the imposing Monument of Vittorio Emanuele II.
This tour will just make one stop for about 45 minutes of free time, normally near St. Peter’s Square, but on Wednesday and Sunday the drop-off point will be near Navona Square because of the Papal Audiences. You won't see the Trevi Fountain from the coach.
- SUITABILITY Little physical activity.
