Bergen’s an enchanting city with an intriguing history and a fabulous setting. On this tour you’ll see some of the highlights of Bergen, like King Haakon’s Hall, the Rosenkranz Tower, Bryggen and the postcard-pretty gable houses from the time of the Hanseats. You’ll pass by the colourful fish market and head through the centre of town, passing the central park and the Grieghall. After a short stroll in the fresh air, you’ll arrive at one of the main attractions of Bergen – Troldhaugen, home of the world famous composer Edvard Grieg. Beautifully set on Nordås Lake, it was here that composer, pianist and conductor Grieg debuted in 1861. When you enter ‘Troldsal’, the concert hall, you’ll be treated to a special performance of Grieg’s most famous works by one of Norway’s best-known artists. Music to your ears? We thought so…
