This tour gets you exploring 2 of the oldest towns on the Adriatic Coast on foot. First in line is Zadar, a settlement overflowing with Roman and Venetian monuments. An ancient wall rings the old town, which is sprinkled with monasteries and churches. Highlights include the terracotta-crowned Church of St Donatus. When you’ve had your fill, we’ll deliver you to Nin, a small town that sits on a skinny islet in the middle of a lagoon. It’s surrounded by sandy beaches and linked to the mainland by a couple of ancient stone bridges. A whistle stop tour combined with free time will give you the chance to pick up souvenirs like embroidered linen, sweets and wooden statues. The drive back to Zadar is a scenic ride, with the coach passing sand-licked coastlines and rural villages.
