Flam might be famous for its railway, but it has a lot more up its sleeve. It sits on a branch of the Naeroyfjord – so impressive it’s protected by UNESCO. But if you fancy seeing a different side of Flam, jump onboard a RIB for a scenery-packed journey through the fjord. The RIB boat has a couple of rows of seats in the middle and is perfect for zipping around. The boat only fits around 12 people, so it’s great for small tours and families. And you don’t have to worry about missing the local wildlife, as your guide will slow down to give you the lowdown. You’ll also stop near a waterfall to take a closer look, before heading back to the port.
The boat ride is suitable for all, however it might be a little bumpy for those with back problems. Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather on the day. The minimum age for this tour is 13-years-old.
- SUITABILITY Moderate physical activity.
