You’ll be introduced to the beautiful Krka National Park on this trip. This huge expanse of land runs parallel to the Krka River, and is padded with thick forests and glassy lakes. It’s home to more than 800 species of flora and a huge range of birds. You’ll trek through the vegetation to the Skradinski Buk, a colossal waterfall which crashes down over a natural rocky staircase. There’s a lovely blue pool at the bottom that’s perfect for cooling off in. You’ll stop by a traditional watermill next, before moving on to an ethnographic museum that charts the history of the area’s plants and wildlife. Then, it’s back on the coach and on to Sibenik, where you’ll have a chance to explore the terracotta-topped old town on foot. Your guide will steer you towards the imposing Cathedral of St Jacob. Here, you can admire the mish-mash of Gothic and Renaissance architecture the 15th-century structure is known for.
