You’ll get to try local tipples in not-the-norm surroundings on this trip. Forget rolling green vineyards – you’ll head deep into the Rock of Gibraltar, where a labyrinth of tunnels has been chiselled out of the stone. Known as the ‘wine vault’, this network of passages was used to store supplies during an historic siege. These days, there’s space for more than a million cases of wine, and you’ll learn about some of the local varieties on a tour of the tunnels. There’ll be a chance to taste a few before you head back outside for the scenic drive back to the port.
