Trapani, right at the western tip of Sicily, has one of the most postcard-ready beaches on the island. A 15-minute bus transfer will take you through the city to reach it, so you’ll see a few sights en route. And when you arrive at the peanut-coloured seafront, everything’s taken care of. There’ll be a sunlounger and a parasol with you name on, plus a welcome drink. The shoreline’s sheltered here, so the calm waters are ideal for paddling, and there’s a pool beside the beach, too. After a decent sunbathing session, you’ll board the bus for the short drive back to port.
