On this tour, you’ll get to know a pair of Italy’s prettiest coastal towns – Sorrento and Amalfi. From the port in Salerno, you’ll travel along some waterfront roads up to Sorrento, a traditional-looking town that’s perched on top of some cliffs. In the past, it’s seen the likes of Charles Dickens and Pavarotti stop by for a holiday. You’ll have plenty of free time to stroll along the town’s shop-filled lanes, which are loaded with boutiques serving up candles, cookies and crockery based around Sorrento’s signature product, lemons. You can take in the buzz at the town’s main square, Piazza Tasso, before setting off for Amalfi. The town’s taken the name of the UNESCO-rated Amalfi Coast, and you’ll have a couple of hours of free time to mosey around here, too. We recommend walking up to the cathedral. You can snap some pictures of the bell tower from the bottom of the 60-step staircase, then go for a walk around the inner gardens. If you’d prefer to see the town from the water, you can pay to go on a boat tour, too. When you’re finished, you’ll make the return journey back to the port.
