You’ll see a collection of Berlin’s sightseeing heavyweights today, ranging from grand architecture to crumbling ruins. After you’ve been driven inland from the coast, you’ll start with a bus tour of the city centre – keep an eye out for bustling Alexanderplatz, cathedral-fronted Bebelplatz and the grand Berliner Dom cathedral. You’ll stop at the chariot-topped Brandenburg Gate, before heading to the most famous crossing point along the Berlin Wall – Checkpoint Charlie. Next, you’ll visit a few of the remaining sections of the wall, including the East Side Gallery – a part that’s been painted by artists from around the world. The tour’s capped off with a traditional German lunch, where you can tuck into options like pork knuckle and apple strudel. When you’re done, you’ll board the coach back to the port.
