You’ll get to snap some pictures of Castries’ headlining sights on this 90-minute tour of St Lucia’s capital. A traditional-looking trolley train will meet you at the port and you’ll set off through the city. You’ll pass by everything from rustic craft markets, to pretty pastel-coloured alleyways and huge government buildings, before stopping at the cathedral. It’s the biggest of its kind in the Caribbean, and you’ll get a chance to head inside to see the vibrant artwork on the walls and ceiling up close. It dates back to 1897, and mixes Catholic and colonial architecture styles into something you won’t see outside of the Caribbean. You’ll then get back on the train and head towards the beach. When you arrive, you’ll be met with a rum or fruit punch. And you’ll have plenty of time to paddle in the sea, relax on the sand and take some photos. Then you’ll get back on the train for a return journey to the port.
