Best of both worlds springs to mind on this tour. You’ll spend the morning sightseeing and the afternoon on the beach. First, you’ll take in Vung Tau’s most popular landmarks. These include the mountaintop Jesus statue – just like Brazil’s Christ the Redeemer. You'll have a photo opportunity here, along with having some of the best views over Vung Tau Bay. You’ll also visit a Buddhist temple and the White Villa – both of which are in prime seafront positions. Your final call before hitting the sands is at the market. You’ll then retreat to the beachfront Imperial Hotel, where you can relax at the private beach club and tuck into lunch by the ocean. Food-wise, there’ll be everything from Asian tomato soup and seafood noodles to veggie paninis and chicken pittas.
The journey time is approximately 1 hour each way. You’ll need to dress modestly when visiting religious sites. Knees and shoulders need to be covered, you’ll also need to take off your shoes before entering the temples.
