You’ll get to explore Iceland’s stunning coves and inlets on this trip, all from the seat of your own kayak. The town of Isafjordur’s set on a spit of land poking out into a bay, and this is where you’ll get a how-to briefing before you hit the water. Once you’re clued up on the dos and don’ts, you’ll start paddling away from the shore and into the more open Isafjardardjup. This open body of water’s bordered by sheer cliffs and plains of untouched countryside. Apart from your fellow kayakers, you’ll hardly spot a soul while coasting along. When you’ve finished exploring the finger-like fjords, you’ll head back past the snow-capped hilltops to where you started.
