Valencia’s best bits are all lined up on this tour, which takes you from ancient to all-new in a matter of hours. You’ll start with a walking tour of the city’s oldest sections, starting with the ornate Town Hall Square. Next, you’ll pop to UNESCO-accredited La Lonja. It’s known as the Silk Exchange, after being used as a trading spot centuries ago, and the column-filled interior’s one of the top Gothic sites in Europe. At the Central Market, you’ll see nearly 1,000 stalls crammed beneath a grand, vaulted ceiling. Plaza Redonda – the Round Square – is next on the list, followed by the Cathedral of Valencia on Plaza de la Virgen, where you’ll have free time to explore. You’ll make a couple of photo stops next – one at the castle-like Serranos Towers, and another at the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences. To cap things off, you’ll head south of the city to Albufera Nature Park. This place is home to one of the largest lakes in Spain, and you’ll take a boat trip across it before the day wraps up.
