Today, you’ll be peeling back the years and taking a trip into yesteryear Ghent – it’s nearly as colourful as your Eighties legwarmers. You’ll kick things off with a visit to the House of Alijn. This dainty museum shows you snapshots of daily life in Ghent in the 20th century. Step into living rooms, shops and apothecaries set up just as they would have been back in the day, and learn about local pastimes and legends. Plus, there’s a room dedicated to the Flemish language. After, your guide will lead you on an hour-long walking tour of the city’s best bits – like St Michael’s Bridge, the Belfry Tower and St Bavo’s Cathedral. You’ll then have two hours of free time to explore, pick up souvenirs or cosy up with a Belgian hot chocolate.
