This sustainable tour gives you a look at Reykjavik, old and new. Your mode of transport will be an Asian-inspired tuk tuk, but this one’s heated. And it means you can easily access Reykjavik’s narrow, cobbled streets, which larger tour buses can’t fit down. You’ll get to see the Old Harbour area, which has been rejuvenated with the addition of museums, restaurants and the glistening, glass-panelled Harpa concert hall. The views remain the same, though, with bobbing fishing boats and snow-crowned mountains in the distance. You’ll also whizz down Laugavegur Street – the main shopping artery – and the city’s oldest neighbourhood, Þingholt, which is stocked with colourful, corrugated iron houses. Along the way, your guide will drop in fun facts and stories about the city, too.
- SUITABILITY Little physical activity.
