Mountains, valleys, waterfalls – Norway’s natural beauty’s in the spotlight on this tour. You’ll cruise up the river to pocket-sized Modalen, which is tucked deep inside a fjord. This place is the second smallest town in Norway, with just one resident to every square kilometre. As such, the scenery’s completely unspoilt. Picture moss-covered mountains, chocolate-box houses and glistening waterfalls. As the valley narrows, you’ll get an up close look at all of these – you might even feel the spray of mist on your face. Plus, there’s often the chance to catch a bucket of ice-cold spring water, as it tumbles down the steep cliffs. Once you reach Modalen, you’ll turn around and make the trip back to Bergen, giving you time to ogle the eye-catching views one last time.
