At The Habitat, you’ll get an up-close look at Penang’s natural beauty. This eco reserve’s at the top of Penang Hill and involves nature trails, hanging bridges and observation towers. To get there, you’ll hop into a funicular cab which runs up and down the hillside. Colonial-style houses are dotted around the summit, and you’ll have panoramas across George Town as you make your way to The Habitat. Get close to the flora and fauna of the rainforest on a tour, and learn about the conservation work that helps keep it intact. To cap things off, lap up the views from above the canopy on one of the suspended treetop walkways. Keep an eye out for giant black squirrels and langurs along the way, then take the funicular back to ground level.
Animals sightings are not guaranteed, there is a fair amount of walking on this excursion so sensible footwear is a must.
