Step back into the Middle Ages as you see the sights of the oldest town in Denmark. Dating back to 710 AD, Ribe was a hugely important Scandinavian trade centre, and the site of the first church to be built in the region. You’ll begin with a visit to the Museum of the Viking, which has experience rooms, exhibitions and a Medieval playground. Then, you’ll head over to Ribe Cathedral, a prominent town landmark that can be seen for miles across the flat landscape. Built in 1250, its 52-metre-high tower has the best views in Southern Denmark. Your tour will also include a scenic walk through the streets and along the canal, as well as some free time for you to explore the town on your own.
