Feast your eyes on one of Germany’s most famous strawberry farms. You’ll start the day with a tour of Rostock’s highlights. There’s the Town Hall, with its seven-turreted Gothic facade, and the Church of St Mary, home to an astronomical clock that’s over half-a-century-old. Next, you’ll move on to Karl’s Strawberry Farm, a factory and adventure village. On the tour, there’s the world’s largest collection of coffee pots to see – over 30,000– sweet and jam-making demos to watch, and strawberry gin to sample. There’ll also be free time to look around, try your hand at glass-shaping or ceramic-painting, go on the rides, and visit the farmers’ market. Here, take some time for a coffee and a traditional German cake.
This tour features walking over uneven and cobbled terrain.
