You’ll get to indulge your senses with this tour of Alicante. Take in the sights on a visit to Plaze de Los Luceros – a circular-shaped square with a huge fountain and sculpture. Next, you’ll stroll past the art deco market building. Inside, stalls stock crabs, cockles and mussels, while, outside there’s a flower market. You’ll also see one of Spain’s longest-running bullrings. Then, it’s on to Santa Bárbara Castle. At 180 metres up, it fits snuggly into the slopes of Mount Benacantil. On a clear day, you’ll get views over the marina, beach and old town. After, you’ll stop along España promenade – made up of colourful tiles, which mimic the nearby sea waves. It’s lined with market stalls, so you can try a Valencian speciality, horchata. The milky drink is made from crushed tiger nuts and is served with sponge finger-like cakes. You’ll have time to explore some more, before heading back.
