This day out will introduce you to Santa Marta’s rainbow-coloured underwater world. You’ll set sail, snorkel and mask in tow, from the beach resort of Rodadero. Your destination? The Tayrona National Park. Much of this 37,000-acre nature reserve is water, and it hides some of the most diverse marine life in the country. You’ll head down into the depths to check out Colombia’s biggest coral gardens, and the schools of fish that swarm around them. There’ll be a breather at one of the park’s caramel-coloured beaches, where sandwiches and fresh fruit will be served. Then, you’ll hit the waves again, stopping at a couple more snorkelling hotspots en route to Rodadero.
