Wine and olive oil are a couple of things this part of Croatia is known for, and you’ll get to see why on this day out. It starts at Uljara Zlokic, a family-run mill that’s been producing olive oil for centuries. You’ll learn about the old-fashioned and modern day methods of oil pressing, and you’ll get to try some of the varieties the mill sells. You’ll visit another family-run estate next, in the pretty seaside village of Crnja Luka. After a tour around the grounds, you’ll break for a drink and a bite to eat. While a musician plays traditional melodies, you’ll be treated to three of the cellar’s wines, plus a helping of Dalmatian snacks like smoked ham, cheese, and freshly-baked bread.
