Hotel Catalonia Las Vegas
It’s close to the beach and centre of town, but with its extensive gardens, the Hotel Catalonia Las Vegas feels nicely tucked away.
You’ve got mountains in one direction and the ocean in the other, so the views at this place are pretty impressive. A rocky beach and the Lago Martiánez pool complex are just over the road, while the old town is five minutes’ walk away.
Palm trees and tropical blooms sprawl throughout the hotel’s grounds, and into the glasshouse-like lobby. Bedrooms come with pine-wood floors and fixtures, and furnishings in complementary shades of navy.

Best place for families
They made my vacation with my son a wonderful experience. They count with a huge buffet breakfast and dinner, Carmen the hostess was great with my 4 year old, very caring and attentive. I loved the family events and games for the kids all through the week from 10-4pm Mon- Fri. Maria was a great event coordinator. I will make it a point to come back here again.More
Viva Las Vegas
Have just returned from 2 weeks in Puerto de la Cruz. It was my first time to Tenerife and I loved the resort which has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants as well as beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel itself is in a prime location on the seafront. I could not fault the service we received from all staff at the hotel. The food was lovely with plenty of choice. I especially love the papas arrugadas with green mojo sauce 😍. We liked it so much we hope to return next year. More

Awful Hotel- 2 star at best
Day 3 of this nightmare (15 Aug 19). onthebeach.com sold this hotel as 4 star. It is barely 2 star. The rooms are tiny, scruffy. The water supply to the toilet keeps cutting out as does the electricity quite often while the shower can be little more than a dribble. The door to our room closes with difficulty as the whole frame is smashed with cracks in the surrounding door frame. Tried using the gym but machines kept tripping the fuse box. All reported but nothing fixed. As a Father travelling with my 12 year old daughter it was entirely inappropriate they allocated a double bed. Hotel is dilapidated in parts and the food is poor and rarely varied; but dont worry as the hotel is built right on top of a McDonalds. During the day you can be seranaded by drilling and hammering and by night by screaming drunken people. This is not a 4 star hotel - just visit the several hotels around it that are and conduct a comparison. onthebeach.com have ripped me off. Never again.More
