Hotel H10 Gran Tinerfe
Tucked right behind a sandy beach, this Cesar Manrique-designed hotel has a setting worth shouting about.
The adults-only Gran Tinerfe couldn’t be in a better spot. Turn one way and there’s a sandy beach. Head the other and there’s a great mix of shops, bars and restaurants.
As well as three pools and a sea-view restaurant, this place has an impressive bar – it’s up on a roof terrace and has standout sunset views.

May stay 2019
I have reviewed this hotel before and stayed again for umpteenth visit to Tenerife! The hotel is in a great position with some lovely staff in particular friendly security guards, waiters especially the waiters on the balcony who were superb this time round. The food was plentiful but replacement food when empty was slow to be replaced and the quality not quite there for cooked food however salad variety was very good. Some cups and plates were showing signs of dirt on them such as old lipstick on some cups! We obviously had these replaced. Room maid service varied a lot each day either absolutely spotless or you could see the cleaning etc was rushed and not so good! I did have an accident in the late main pool where I stood on something sharp in the water and cut my foot which turned out to be part of a small tile which had come away from the bottom of the pool, there are a few tiles missing down there. However the pool lifeguard was very good. He cleaned the cut and plastered it well. Top marks. It’s a shame there was noise from building work at the front on the third floor, not much of an issue but you would think you would be told about this when making a booking. The drinks are a bit expensive against the price in nearby bars so we went out a lot as the evening entertainment still seemed to be directed at 70 years plus. There is a notice saying no reserving of sun beds but this wasn’t adhered to during our stay. BUT Due to the location and layout of hotel with pleasant staff etc we will probably return (if they let me now!) More
Building works spoilt it
Im not sure what to think about my recent trip here. Its a pleasant hotel recommended to us by my daughter who visited summer last year. On arrival we were met by a very nice lady and a glass of bubbly.we arrived early and was given a room straight away I was impressed. We were given the first floor and previous experience 1st floor normally means lot of noise. I said i hope its peaceful she said of course. She said you only booked a classic room and this is a nice room with balcony and seaview ,upgrade. We arrived at our room feeling exhausted as we had no sleep due to early 6 am flight The room was nice spacious and two balconies but the noise unbearable grom above the whole day was banging drilling electric cutter saws. To the point we asked at the desk to be told it will stop soon and they dont start till 9 /9.30am next morning. Anyway being the weekend it was quite peaceful. But Monday morning and each consecutive morning the noise has started at 7.30am. The whole if the 2nd floor is being refurbished. I cant understand why no one on here has not complained as the area around some of the bar area over looking the sea the noise was unbearable. Im also annoyed that reception glossed it over but only when I mentioned it otherwise nothing would of been said. We werent told about pool towels. The safe is payable with deposit. The night restaurant staff asked if we would like to eat in the other restaurant. I said we dont know anything about it. We asked at reception to be told its because were not here a full week Quite petty really. We hired car they did pull out all the stops to find space for us to park overnight. The food was on the whole pretty good I always found something to eat. The breakfast was excellent I dont normally eat breakfast on holiday. The hotel is very tired in areas the carpets and corridors could do with redecorating. I come to Tenerife often but im not sure id come back ive stayed in much better. Overall we had a good time I just feel a mix of good and just ok. More
Not up to standards for privileged package
We are here at the moment upgraded to the privileged package we have never upgraded before and we are a Gran Class member Very disappointed with the privilege sunbathing area and outside bar area snacks are just little snacks we were expecting maybe sandwiches, choice very limited and not much of it some times you have to wait as the food goes very quickly, you have to get your own drinks no service, no one to clear pots plates glasses etc, no where to put them in the lounge area no cocktails If you want to sit outside of the bar area very few tables and close together, people smoking so no where to sit outside for non smokers We went in one night at 8 30 and there was no gin just 2 empty bottles someone not doing there job correctly We have just come up to the room at 5 30 night time and the room has not been made up So another trip to the reception to complain Will continue on return homeMore

Another fantastic holidat at the Gran Tinerfe!
The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the beach at the top end of Playa de las Americas. The food is fantastic, with a great choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is always spotlessly clean and tidy. The staff are all very friendly and always very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and very nicely furnished. We have stayed here many, many times, and will continue to do so.More
My husband and myself visited the H10 gran Tinerfe for a two week holiday break. It took a while to check in as they were very busy. After being sorted with our room we were disappointed as we had booked a room with a balcony. Instead our room was small and dark with no balcony. We went down and spoke to the manager Maria. She explained they were getting over a storm and some rooms were damaged and if we could give her till the following morning she would look after us. True to her word she upgraded us the following morning to a beautiful garden bungalow with patio and terrace with sea view. The accommodation was excellent and we had a fantastic time. Maria and all the staff were lovely and welcoming. Great selection of food to choose from. The hotel is literally on the beach. Shops, restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Good entertainment with a nice friendly clientele adds to a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hotel.More
