Excellent hotel & holiday
The hotel is excellent and always have a great time when we come, we stay privilege and think its definitely worth the upgrade. We have been here a few times now and always look forward to the next visit. The staff are very friendly and professional.More
Perfect family holiday
Friendly and professional staff throughout. A beautiful selection of food across the restaurants. A big warm and clean swimming pool with vigilant life guards. The entertainment team put on great shows and activities throughout the day and evening. Clean rooms with comfortable beds, the bathroom was quite tired with a couple of broken fittings, but everything else about the hotel and services makes up for this. The Hotel is located right on the seafront in the more quiet and beautiful part of Las Americas. We had a wonderful holiday. We also recommend Siam park which you can book through reception, and also kayaking with dolphins of which you can book from right outside the hotel. We will definitely return.More
Kind and courteous
We began our holiday on 2 August. Check in staff are helpful and friendly, rooms are just the right size for a couple, food in the buffet restaurant is plentiful with lots of choice. The pool is amazing and we spent lots of time in there. However, four days into the holiday I became extremely unwell and had to spend a couple of days in an intensive care ward and four days in a general ward. When my husband informed the hotel staff they were helpful, giving him coffee making facilities which we previously hadn't had, they frequently asked about my well being and wrote us a personal note wishing me well. On the day we were supposed to check out I was still in the local hospital and the hotel made every effort to try and get my husband another room in the hotel, but unfortunately it was full booked. They were very thoughtful throughout the stay and I wish to thank them very much. I am now home and recovering.More
Firstly location is amazing! We really thought at the beginning the hotel was brilliant and struggled to see how people didn’t leave 5* reviews however our views changed throughout the week. We stayed all inclusive, privilege. Firstly the privilege check in was nice and great to get a bit of a tour and further information as to what the privilege options were. All the hotel seemed really clean and smart throughout apart from some of the corridor carpets however we only saw floor 7. The lifts took forever and a day to come so be warned if you have to be anywhere quick. The rooms are small however this didn’t bother us and the beds were super comfy. The maids were great and very trustworthy as we often left expensive items out which weren’t touched. Chocolates on the bed every night and clean pool towels was a great addition. The privilege section by the pool was brilliant and for the first few days we always got a bed up to about 10am and then throughout the day, this got impossible as the holiday went on resulting in no sunbeds around the pool at all however the 6th privilege deck was great when this happened as you could always get a bed and had the hot tub. We went in the spa everyday when it got too hot which was actually one of the best spas we’ve been to considering the size however it would be have great for someone to tell us about the buttons on the wall to turn everything on as everyone seemed to miss them and just ended up sat in the pool. Now the food was much to disappointment. Breakfast buffet was average and some of the hot food often cold. The privilege breakfast restaurant was great service however the same food as the buffet it seemed. We dined at the steak house the first evening, the service was great however the food very average and steak not great. We then dined at the African night which was fun however had we have known what the set menu was we wouldn’t have gone as we didn’t like a lot of it, the service in here for drinks was very slow! The toilets near this restaurant had full on water leaks coming through the lights during the full evening. Towels were down but no staff were around to try and sort this, which was concerning. We had one night and a few lunches in the buffet however we just couldn’t eat in there anymore, it seemed exactly the same every time and the food very basic. We had lunches a few times in the snack bar which was good. Then on our final night we ate in the senses restaurant which was a nightmare! They were great with the drinks service however it seemed to take forever to get going then the full table had to move tables due to a fault with the hot plate resulting in one family then not having seats so they had to leave. The food orders then got completely mixed up and the staff had arguments in front of us and seemed to be running about like headless chickens making it not the nicest of experiences. The food looked great however we’ve never had such fatty chicken and a lot of the menu wasn’t to our taste. We’ve had much better experiences at these types of restaurants with more interaction with the chef, food getting thrown around and into people’s mouths etc but none of that seemed to happen so it was a disappointing last night. We had some of the best meals ever away from the hotel so if you can explore I would. Evening entertainment - this was poor apart from Motown By Legato who were amazing! You could tell the acts which were good as they kept the crowd however with some not even 1/2 the crowd was left by the end. The hotel staff for the entertainment seemed great and we loved the daytime performance by the pool one day. Service around the pool on an evening was strange and obviously got tested as the week went on I can only think as it got busier. The beginning of the week we could go up as and when to the bar however at the end we got told to go sit down and a waiter would be over to take drinks however this took quite some time. Disappointing check out to not ask how our stay was. We had to sign a form to confirm we’ve not been ill while we’ve stayed at the hotel. I’ve never ever been anywhere which has done this which made me immediately think people had been sick. Speaking to other guests a lot said similar to what we found. Ending on a positive staff were all great very polite and seemed to try their best. Would we stay in a H10 again? Possibly. Would we stay in this hotel again. No, however with some changes it could be made better. More
Loved every minute
We stayed for 9 nights on All inclusive Privilege and this was worth every penny. This entitled us to 1 senses dinner show plus 5 other a la carte restaurant meals. Privilege Breakfast was a la carte and fabulous . You could have anything from the menu and mix different choices . Fab getting a glass of Cava, then orange juice and choice of hot drink all brought to you , toast made for you - absolutely lovely . We had lunch in the restaurant that became the steak house in the evening . Again so nice being served. We did two Senses dinner shows - Cabaret and Africa - very professional and brilliant costumes . Our meals were excellent. We also enjoyed our Japanese meal which was also very entertaining. One visit to the steak house with excellent steaks. Two visits to the Italian restaurant again excellent . Our only complaint and the main one we heard was - too much to eat !! We never visited the coffee shop although I was told that I missed out big time as the coffee and cakes were to die for ! I honestly couldn’t eat anymore than I did ! Drinks selection for Privilege are top notch with Grey Goose vodka being one of the choices . Every member of staff are lovely and friendly - a credit to the H10 ! Every where is spotlessly clean . Spa is great too. On the Privilege sun lounger deck we were served tapas and fruit and lovely refreshing drinks . You can help yourself to alcohol, soft drinks and tea and coffee . - Ice cream would be a great addition to the lounge . You get ice cream etc at the pool bar . My only dislike was the buffet restaurant, which is huge and a bit noisy - maybe additional dividers etc could lessen this. We found the food ok and plentiful but being on Privilege package we only visited twice in the evening and three times for lunch . The hotel supply water in glass bottles , therefore next time I would take my own water bottle to fill for going out a walk . Great not to see lots of plastic water bottles . It was nice to see that the maids only replaced towels that were left on the floor of the shower , committed to water/money saving . I did take my travel iron and kettle . I would rather have had an iron and kettle instead of the coffee maker but that’s my preference. There is a wall mounted clothes drier on the balcony. If they are having the White Party while you are there - this is fantastic ! Dress in white if you can ( we didn’t know and were in black ) a night not to be missed - fabulous! The entertainment staff work very hard and I loved Daisy getting the morning of brightly . We enjoyed ALL the entertainment. We enjoyed this hotel every minute of every day. Well done everyone . I hope the management of H10 Hotels appreciate you all. More
