Be Live Experience Playa la Arena
High points at the Be Live Experience Playa la Arena include a garden setting, a first-rate pool scene, and close proximity to a volcanic beach.
Leafy, well-maintained gardens dominate the grounds of this hotel. It only takes a few minutes to walk down a path towards a black-sand beach. The centre of Playa de la Arena is a 15-minute walk away.
The décor here is really impressive. The huge, high-ceilinged lobby is draped in hanging vines and has a sweeping main staircase. Modern rooms, meanwhile, are styled in pastel tones.

Easter 10 Day Break
Really enjoyed our trip to this hotel and it exceeded expectations in most areas. My husband and I visited together and had a room on the same floor as the reception. Room: the Bedroom was very nice, light and airy with good air con. Bathroom had a bath with shower overhead AND a separate shower cubicle, bidet, toilet and sink. Lovely balcony that wasn’t overlooked by anyone else. The room was a good size, had plenty of storage and the beds were comfortable. My main gripe would be that the beds were only changed once in our 10 day stay. The room was clean when we got there but after that housekeeping would run in, shove the sheets back under the mattress to make it look tidy, replace loo roll and that was it! No actual cleaning took place. This was really very poor compared to every other 4 star I’ve been to. Food: excellent choice, well presented and very tasty. Many dishes didn’t have labels though so was difficult to know what it was meant to be. Desserts were great but often there were chocolate fountains that quickly descended into sticky chaos. Bar staff: excellent, always friendly and the bar always looked spotless. Entertainment: really good. Typical multi-national crowd pleasing stuff but really well put together and enjoyable. The building works: we were warned about the work before we got there and it honestly wasn’t an issue. The infinity pool was being built and aside from the occasional swing of a crane, we really didn’t notice much. HOWEVER... the work to the toilets/showers downstairs that we didn’t know about in advance was another story entirely! Constant banging and drilling getting earlier every morning. I finally cracked when it woke me up before 7am. We put a complaint in and when we returned from the town there was a bottle of Prosecco in our room with a note apologising for the disruption. It probably would have meant more if it weren’t a bottle that was included in the all inclusive and freely available on the bars!! All in all, a nice hotel. Not the most spectacular but we wouldn’t be disappointed to have to stay here again. Nothing earth shattering though. More
Just returned from an 8 night holiday here and as a family we can't recommend the hotel highly enough. Firstly the entertainment staff were fantastic, always checking the kids were having fun, asking them to participate in poolside games or the daily activities where applicable. Massive thanks to Enzo, Mario, Raffaella, Fabio, Julia and Guilliem for making the kids have a brilliant experience. The foods good, 2 main restaurants and everything you'd expect in an all-inclusive resort. I liked that they had both meat and fish available as main courses in addition to the buffet options. There was an a-la-carte too but we left it too late to book in. The pools are good, a little splash type pool for tiny children, and a waterslide too. The main pools were plenty big enough and if you couldn't get a bed around the pool, there were plenty in reserve stacked around the pools to use as required. The evening entertainment was excellent, my one gripe was as a family resort the mini disco could have been on a bit longer for the little ones, but that is nit picking. Would reccomend this hotel 100% and we already pricing it up for 2020.More
We have been to Tenerife many times and decided to go back for our honeymoon. I emailed the hotel to tell them it was our special time and as I have scoliosis in the spine I needed a soft matress topper as I cannot lay in a hard bed. Also seeing as it was our honeymoon could we have the optional double bed..I had a reply assuring they would do everything possible to meet my request..now when I have requested toppers at other Tenerife hotels they have always been in the bed for me. We arrived at 4.30pm. To findthe room key didn't work..had to go back to reception.. twin beds and no topper..the safe key didn't wirk.. back to reception. We were told to wait in the room fur up to 15mins as the safe needed new batteries and we had to be there. And they would see to the topper.. we waited in our room for an hr eventually someone arrived with batteries..we went off to get food and have a look around. We returned to the room at 9pm to discover a blanket had been put on my bed as a topper?? Back to reception. And was told it was a make do until tomorrow I explained I would not be skerpung tonight then unless I could use one of their soft sofas in reception..after sone discussion and me telling them I had emailed all this month's ago eventually by 10.30pm I had a topper. There was a note in the room to say if you didn't want the room cleaned early ket them no and they would not disturb you..so bavk to reception..to request we were not disturbed until after 10am. The very first morning after a long journey a late night we were woken at 8am to banging on the door.. we shouted out no ! More banging. And then in came the maid we were barley awake in bed and told her to go away. On thecway to breakfast at 9.30 we stopped at reception to complain . The next day we left the room at 9 30 am and came back at 5 the room had been cleaned but the card key we had left in the slot to ensure the electric stayed on as we had milk and foid in the fridge had been pulled out of the slot keaving our food in the fridge to turn warm and the milk went off...back to reception ..leave the key alone... please .. we take a travel kettle with matching cups and 2 spoons with us as we love a cuppa in bed before getting breakfast. This had always been left alone on in our room...until the 5th day when the cups and spoons were removed and thrown away by the cleaner..reception thought it very funny I was complaining about 2 cups and spoons being thrown out.. even the security msn behind the desk was giggling ..until they realised it belonged to us ..they attempted to locate our items but couldn't and offered us 2 plastic cups and 2 plastic spoons..I was fuming. The overall attitude from the staff cooking the fresh meat and fish daily was awful. So rude and arrogant despite us always using please and thank you. The portions were small and not well cooked. Food overall was average ..we had days when we ended up with a kids burger and chips because what was on show was not appetizing at all. We also had under cooked sausage.. raw Inside. Staff in general were not that helpful and didn't want to help. pools were nice ..plenty of beds evening entertainment average we ended up playing cards by the bar most nights .. Will return to Tenerife..but not this hotel..not one if the better ones despite its posh look on arrival.More
Clean and comfortable hotel
Had a very pleasant stay. Hotel was very clean and comfortable room. Restaurant food good . Poolside bar with tea/coffee/snacks and wine and beer on tap Sangria was very nice. Not problems finding a sunbed and infinity pool under construction. Not impressed with a-la-carte night - food was better in the dining room. They had an Indian themed night and went to a lot of trouble putting on a good array of dishes.More

Just got back from a week at be live playa la arena. Absolutely fantastic. Very clean hotel, friendly staff and overall quality service. Would highly recommend this place. We travelled with a 3 year old who made the most of the facilities. Mini golf slightly tired but does the job, tennis courts, and play parks were brilliant. Animation team do everything they can to entertain and offer a tremendous service. Ongoing building work is hardly noticeable and is clearly coming to an end. The offer of compensation options from the hotel was great. We used the option for a complimentary coach trip to and from Los Cristianos. Then the hotel offered the rest of the options aswell! So complimentary safe for the week, sunbeds on the beach and a nice bottle of wine in the A la carte restaurant. The building work is a new infinity pool overlooking the bay which looked brilliant so far. Overall fantastic hotel, friendly staff and would highly recommend. More
