Absolutely brilliant hotel. We stayed at another Spring hotel last year the Vulcano but tried here as it’s adults only and it was the summer holidays. The room, food, pool area, staff and all facilities were top class. Quiet location but only a 10/15 minute walk into Los Cristianos down the sea front. Really good mix of age ranges from the Oder teenagers Some nice little bars across the road if you wanted a change of scenery with very reasonable prices. Only little niggle was at the Vulcano you could swap evening meal for lunch by the pool but here you could only get a picnic bag instead. We like to eat out at night so would only go B and B next time not half board. Will hopefully be back next year. More
Following a delayed flight we arrived at midnight approx to a smooth check in (without any prosecco) but we had a lovely cold buffet supper which was most welcome - we were starving. We were more than impressed with breakfast - fresh orange juice, fresh and tinned fruits, variety of yoghurts, freshly cooked omelettes and fried eggs, hot foods, cold meats and salads, breads and cakes. Lovely coffee. This is just a sample of what's on offer. One of the best breakfast buffets ever. The room was cleaned daily and maintained to a high standard. Air conditioning was easily managed and effective. Dinner - there is such a variety of food, one would never go hungry. There is a microwave which meands no lukewarm food. Desserts were delicious and the highlight of dinner. Ice-creams, cakes, mini varied desserts, cream and pastries to die for. Yes, you pay €2.50 for a large water, the house wine is very nice. I loved the blinds being raised for sunset every night! Lovely white linen tablecloths and napkins for all meals. The staff were unobtrusive and helpful. The lady as you enter the restaurant who takes your room number deserves special mention. She remembered our room number upon seeing us after two days. She was also welcoming and efficient. The best of the waiting staff we encountered were an older gentleman and a tall lady. Sorry I didn't get their names. Well done Arona Gran, we had a lovely relaxing week with you and would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.More
Just returned from a great 12 day stay at the Arona Gran what can I say from the glass of fizz when checking in to the wonderful restaurant everything was fantastic which started with being offered a cold buffet for late arrivals We were welcomed to the restaurant by Marian and her welcoming smile where the rest of the staff were equalling pleasant and extremely attentive The position of the hotel could have not been better with sea views to die for rooms were spacious and kept immaculate by the wonderful cleaning ladies we will certainly be backMore
Recently back from yet another early autumn weeks holiday at the Arona Gran & have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As usual we'd booked a room with a full sea-view & half-board food. We found everything about this 'adults only' hotel was still up to it's usual high standard. The Reception Staff very helpful as always. The Self-service Restaurant complete with very attentive Staff, still serves one of the largest choices of meals, all prepared & presented to a high standard & never a problem finding an empty table. The guests bedrooms are well appointed & always maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Our balcony had, as always, good quality adjustable chairs with foot stools & table plus a canopy that can be wound out to cover almost all of the balcony - a real advantage on the hottest days! The outdoor evening entertainment is very professional & well worth watching. Well done again Arona Gran - we will be back.More

Fab hotel right by the sea with great food and entertainment
Just back from a week at this gorgeous hotel right by the sea. 10 out of 10!! Would definitely go back for a week of complete relaxation.. The staff are lovely. A toastie at the pool bar is £3.50 euros so not pricey...drinks very reasonable... Room 506 : Our room was sold as a partial sea view from our balcony so I wasn't expecting much view as we didn't pay for an upgrade but we had a great view. There was a tower block in the middle but great views on either side of it of the sea, mountain and boats and activities going on in the distance, paragliding, boats. The room had a large sized shower, good water pressure...plenty of plugs for chargers etc, Two bottles of free water a day. We paid £3 for safe hire each day. We didn't pay for fridge, didn't really need it..but if you had wanted fridge opened in room you could have ordered two drinks room service over 10 Euro and the fridge would be opened all week. Food - Fabulous selection for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is an experience in this hotel! included an omelette station, poached, fried, scrambled, boiled eggs, many types of sausages, 2 types of bacon, one being the Irish/UK type, pancakes, waffles, crepes, churros, porridge, Meditarian veg, hash browns, potato rosti, fresh fruit, huge selection of cheese and continental meats, yoghurts, a fresh healthy food station with chia and flax seeds, green powder etc, fruit juices, fresh breads... We didn't miss it any day... Only improvement would be the toast machine could be quicker... I had to put my toast in 3 times... You can sit inside or outside with sea view. Lovely start to the day. Dinner: Choices, choices, choices!!! Huge buffet of mixed foods which varied each night. There was always one carvery item, pork, lamb, beef, turkey etc two freshly cooked fish to order. I tried chicken noodles, chicken curry, beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding, turkey, salmon... plenty of veg and different types of potato... a million types of salad, soups, pates, noodles, rice things.. Loads of deserts and fruits and different types of icecream.. One night there was a chocolate fountain. Don't miss Gala night on Wed night.. saxophone player, all the ladies get roses and many extra delights! there was a few rabbit dishes but didn't fancy trying them! lol not for me. Entertainment : Loved the pre dinner music as the sun went down. Spanish guitar and singers were excellent. Late night entertainment starts at 9.30pm everynight - Elton John tribute, Eagles tribute, Celtic spirt night, flamengo night, apart from the cheesy magician, not too bad though in truth we went out most nights so didn't catch too much of the later music. Music shuts down around 11 11.30 ish. People: Older people for sure. Definitely would accommodate people with wheelchairs/mobility scooters. But there were mum and daughter teams, and young couples..a bit of a mix. Adults only so no kids.. if you looking for a really lively party hotel, you may want another hotel but the town is so close and taxis so cheap, feel like I got the best of both worlds. Lots of Scottish and Welsh and heard many other nationalities. Facilities used: Hot Stone massage in spa for a treat. £70Euros. Two great pools, heated. Gym is well equipped with a yoga room. plenty of machines and weights. Pool table, games room with some games provided. They also do book swaps. Towels for pool provided. UP upgrade - We didn't do this but they tour at 10am and 5pm. It's £37 a day extra and that gives you access to rooftop pool and free bar I think from 10am - 6pm with snacks all day... if you get UP upgrade for week they thrown in a massage and room with unblocked sea view which looked great. The view from the top is amazing so do the tour if you don't do the UP. Just for the photo. Location and outside entertainment. - excellent. taxis super cheap.. We went to Bulls Head for great rock cover band The Vagabonds in Playa Americas, Don't miss the Islanders, in Irish Oak bar in Adeje, guy from Bellaghy and two from Cheshire, Ella on violin is amazing. Gerry in The Cladagh Bar played good live selection of Irish and other music. We only ate out one night as the hotel food super good. Went to cool wee flamengo night restaurant with good food and dancing called El Burgado about 10 min walk from hotel. You can walk right along the beach front for as many miles as you want...20 minute - half hour walk to Playa des Americas where all the good shopping is. There are boats which leave for trips 10 mins walk away but we didn't go on any.More
