Holidays to Los Cristianos combine the bustle of a thriving port town, the simplicity of an old-fashioned beach resort, and a dash of Canarian charisma for good measure.
Los Cristianos
A bustling promenade overlooks tranquil blue waters in Los Cristianos, where Cruise & Stay holidays promise the perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. With all of southern Tenerife’s attractions on your doorstep, this resort is a superb destination for a sun-soaked getaway.
A thriving waterfront town
Formerly a fishing region, Tenerife’s southwestern tip is now home to three popular resorts with all kinds of activities and facilities on offer. Los Cristianos is the southernmost of the three, boasting two gorgeous beaches and picturesque old town. Between strolling along the promenade and sipping drinks in a waterfront café, you can really unwind in Los Cristianos. If you fancy a taste of Canary Island nightlife, the buzzing bars of Playa de la Americas are just five minutes away.
Old fishing harbour
A favourite with visitors is the pedestrianised area around the harbour, where you can glimpse remnants of the rustic charm from the region’s fishing days. Although no longer used for fishing, the harbour remains busy, and it's the starting point for excursions that range from glass-bottomed boat tours to whale-watching trips. You’ll also find plenty of harbourfront bars and restaurants where you can dine as you watch the cruise ships come and go.
Aquatic activities
For visitors seeking action and activities, Los Cristianos will not disappoint. The beaches are brimming with watersports opportunities, including banana boating and windsurfing. Family fun also awaits at the two nearby waterparks – Aqualand and Siam Park are both located 10 minutes away, in Costa Adeje.
Local excursions
A short journey east of Los Cristianos, you can visit Aloe Park, a working banana plantation where you’ll get an insight into one of Tenerife’s most important industries. Other spots worth visiting include the Camel Park, where you can go for a camel ride, and the Monkey Park, which is home to over 100 primates.
