Riu Arecas Hotel
This adults-only hotel gives you a triple helping of pools, and it’s just a short walk to the beach.
This huge building is shaped like a cruise liner. On one side you’ve got the Adeje mountains and, on the other, views of the Atlantic Ocean. Within the hotel, there's a trio of pools and a buffet restaurant.
The hotel’s in an upmarket part of Costa Adeje, just a five-minute drive from the centre. And it’s a five-minute cab ride in the other direction to La Caleta, a fishing village home to bars and restaurants.

Loved our stay at this hotel. Staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Felt very welcomed. Rooms were comfy and clean. Comfy beds. Hotel was modern. 3 pools. Plenty of sun beds. Restaurant had plenty of choice. Catered to all for breakfast and dinner. Plenty of parking. Good location. Very happy with stay. More
First stay at this very good hotel. Great food, good rooms! Good sunbathing and pool areas and the hotel is well located. Generally friendly staff but the reception staff could have been more helpful in sorting out a problem when we checked in that arose from an error on the Rui system. One tiny gripe; very poor quality towels in the bathroom!More
Stayed here in August with family/friends. The hotel itself is stunning, stunning room. Comfortable and clean. The pool area also lovely clean sunbeds and sunbeds in the pool. Had 2 massages in the spa which were brilliant. Only ate the buffet in the morning but was pleased with this. Staff very friendly. The only thing I would say about this hotel is that it is very very quiet. No atmosphere around the pool area. It is a very good place to come and completely relax. Adeje itself is also very very quiet, which I struggled with a bit and ended up gettin taxi to las Américas most nights. Apart from that lovely hotel.More
4 stay in this hotel. The quality of services at a similar level as before. Maybe even better when it comes to evening dinners. Very large selection of dishes and starters all at a good level. Unfortunately, the hotel is no longer as quiet as it used to be. The evening music is very loud and lasts until late at night. In our case, we had to use earplugs. Closed doors are not enough. It used to be less intense, it's probably about the focus on selling alcohol. The second nuisance is the ubiquitous smokers. They are on the hotel beach, in the hotel restaurant, on the balconies in the rooms next door, on the hotel terrace ... Most smoke constantly and do not look at others.More

Fabulous hotel, relaxed holiday
This hotel has everything you need for a relaxed week away. We rarely left the hotel other than a visit to Playa de las Americas via bus and to go to the Spar shop (approx 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and some shops) as we didn't want to leave the hotel! The rooms are spacious, well decorated and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The outside pool is a dream and there were plenty of sunbeds available - we never struggled to get a sunbed at any point. The waiting staff around the pool and in the bar are very attentive. There was always plenty of choice every breakfast and dinner. Drinks were reasonably priced. Service in the restaurant was on the whole prompt with the exception of one occasion. We ate at the tapas restaurant on our final evening which was a nice experience, however I did prefer the main restaurant. We paid for everything on the spot rather than with our room number as this meant we did not need to double check any transactions when checking out. The public beach is a short walk but down some quite steep steps, and the hotel has their own 'beach' shared with the sister hotel, however it was essentially some sand and sunbeds and if you wanted to go in the sea you have to go on the public beach (however I did not particularly like the beach and preferred the pool). As an adults only hotel, it was very relaxing. The evening entertainment could do with some improvement - on 2 of the evenings the entertainment was fabulous, however the other 5 nights it was pretty mediocre. If the entertainment had been better, we would have stayed longer in the bar each evening. Overall, I would definitely recommend this gorgeous hotel and would definitely return again and again if I was looking for a chilled week away.More
