Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife
With its plum sea-and-mountain setting, the Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife showcases this Canary Island at its best.
Views don’t come much better than this hotel, with volcanic slopes to the rear and sea views to the front. And location-wise, you’ve got a little beach on the doorstep and Costa Adeje is a 20-minute stroll away.
The hotel’s curved design means lots of the rooms look out to sea.

Another excellent holiday.
This was my fourth visit to this lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff . All work hard to maintain a high standard of service. All areas of the hotel is spotlessly clean, the vast garden is well maintained, a credit to the gardening staff. Wide variety of food, which was fresh and hot. Salads were excellent. My only negative comment regarding snacks at the pool bar, is that the menu hasn’t changed in four years, although good, a change of menu would be welcomed. Entertainment at night is not great, which is a unfortunate. However this will not deter me from revisiting this wonderful hotel.More
Relax & Refresh
First class service from staff who seemed to enjoy their jobs and seemed to bond with clients. Food could do with a bit more imagination and variety of options in the buffet area. Shortage of a varied entertainment offering as there is not a lot nearby. On the whole a great place to relax - and have a holiday !More
5 star review beautiful hotel
A little late doing this review having stayed here in February. This is a stunning hotel and perfect for a quiet do nothing holiday . You cannot fault the amenities, hotel grounds ,pools which are heated in winter ,staff ,quality of good ,cleanliness etc top notch. I have to be honest and say despite all of this I would not return here with any young at heart family, children, teenagers etc because it is so quiet ,if you are looking for some entertainment that has a bit of life to it then this is not for you ,the average age of the clients in my experience had to be 60+. The location will also mean that if you want some nightlife with a bit of kick to it you will have to taxi it to Las America's at 34 euro return a go. Don't get me wrong stunning hotel ,staff superb but bear in mind it really is a more mature clients hotel and for that reason attracts many repeat customers and why not if that's what you want which I do but not always.More
We had a great 9 nights stay at this hotel and our experiences were as following: Positives: + very friendly staff in general + very clean property and the gardens are also very well maintained and very inviting + superb location, about 20 mins ride to Tenerife Sur airport and right to the Costa Adeje maritim promenade + really good food with good variety + free wi-fi + lovely pools including infinity adults only pool which was very nice + great room, thanks for the very well appointed room, much appreciated!+++ + welcome drink, which is always a good start of the holidays! Negatives: - my only negative point is that there is some lack of same level of service given by the staff. At breakfast and diner the staff is great, but the pool service and cleaning staff is not always on the same level. For example we received (like other guests) 2 pool towels per person whilst when we got someone else (Fernando was his name I think) he allowed only one tower per person. The same for the waiters at the pool...sometimes you get nuts/salt chips with your (alcoholic) drinks and sometimes not. The same with the cleaning staff, Veronica did her job perfect but when we got somebody else the bath producs were not refilled. The issues with the pool towels and the cleaning were bad enough for us to complaint at the reception and they quickly dealt with the issues. We had room 541, very nice room with great ocean views! I would not hesitate a second to recommend this hotel!More
Relax, Chill and just drift.............
The drive to the hotel was slightly unsettling because there is so much building work going on which seemed to be close to our hotel, we need not have worried , fortunately none of this spoilt our stay at all. As soon as you go into the large foyer leading to reception, you realise that this is a bit special! The check-in in procedure is very straightforward and after a very welcome glass of Cava we made our way to our room. We were greeted by a very spacious room with a nice sized bathroom with a lovely walk-in shower, then there was a huge bed with cupboards either side, a nice sized dressing table, plenty of drawer space and included in this unit, a fridge and teaa/coffee making facilities. On the wall is a nice sized flat screen T.V and a nice sized mirror, there is plenty of wardrobe space with an ironing board and also included in the wardrobe is the safe. Naturally all of the rooms throughout the hotel have Air-Con which is easily controlled from the wall panel. We had one of the ground floor rooms so our sliding patio doors opened out to a nice patio area with very nice tended lawns with table and chairs. The pool areas outside are very nicely laid out, open areas if you just want to lie in the sun, sun beds are plentiful, if you want some protection, the hotel also offers its very own beach area which makes a pleasant change from staying by the pools there are covered areas around the pools, a children's pool and a very nice infinity pool area. Also worth a mention are the two pool side restaurants and the fantastic poolside waiter and waitress service, really excellent! The main restaurant is superb, breakfast has a superb choice and evening meal also, plenty to choose from and superb the way it is presented. Don't forget, dress for dinner/evening meal is slightly more formal, no shorts or beachwear and gents must wear long trousers for evening meals, if you want to eat outside on the terraced area, please be aware that smoking is allowed outside and can be slightly annoying if this bothers you during your meal! Also worth a mention are the two a la carte restaurants that are a must to visit, so book pretty early during your stay. There are the outside entertainment areas that put on plenty of shows throughout your stay again the waiter service is superb, there is also an inside bar if you prefer. During our stay we took advantage of the Spa's facilities and had a fantastic massage (thoroughly recommended if you are feeling a bit stressed). The walks outside of the hotel are very nice to do at any time of the day, walking along the beach areas is a little strange at first because of the black sand but you soon get used to it, there are plenty of trips on offer if you wish to explore the island further, we did not this time , we just had a very relaxing week in this lovely hotel and this Hotel really ticked all of the boxes for us without question. The hotel on the whole seems to cater for the German market, this however did not bother us at all, in fact the only thing that bothered us during our stay was the snore coming from the guy in the next room, it was loud enough to wake the dead!! The whole place is spotlessly clean, all of the staff look after you so well, room service is impeccable, they even turn your bed down during the evening while you are at dinner! A fantastic week at a hotel we would thoroughly recommend.More
