GF Gran Costa Adeje
This chic hotel comes with four pools, two restaurants and the kind of interiors you’d normally see on a magazine cover.
This stylish hotel gives you the pick of four pools, including a rooftop number. The dining scene is special, too. There are two places to choose from, with special mention going to the Mediterranean à la carte.
The sports line-up includes tennis and squash, and there’s a sanctuary-like spa. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better – it’s on a hillside about a 5-minute walk from the centre of Costa Adeje and the beach.

Lovely Hotel & Excellent staff
The rooms and the hotel were very nice and clean to a fair standard. The pool areas are lovely and the water temperature is good. the staff are very friendly helpful & well trained with only a couple of exceptions : I enjoyed the food in the Buffet - seafood crab prawns langoustine mussels and on another day excellent authentic sushi! Plus all the other usual stuff, grilled meats and fish and very nice salads: Occasionally a lovely paella: Good location near shops and beach: The entertainment was surprisingly good: Three Tenors; magician; Soul band and great musicians and singers as well as super top class Flamenco: One problem was the towel men took our towels and bags away while we were standing with our backs to our sun beds and they then locked it all up in their cabin for 15/20 minutes: I understand people can’t reserve beds but we were right there and it was a really annoying sour note: Otherwise a good choice and excellent holidayMore
The worst all inclusive holiday ever!
Recently returned from GF Fañabé Costa Adeje with family for the first & last time....I don’t even know where to start! The GF management team need to have a serious think about how all inclusive guests are treated in their hotels, personally I don’t think you should offer this package as it is pathetic & your staff are obviously trained to make people feel like beggars. The reception, cleaning staff & animation team were all very friendly & helpful, I wish I could say the same about the bar & waiting staff who were so rude (apart from Ricardo) & made it obvious it was too much trouble to serve you. We do not drink much, just as well, as getting served was hard enough but choice is the most limited I have ever experienced in a ‘4 star hotel’ no cava & the 2 ‘cocktails’ on offer tasted like syrup. The food was fine & there was a good selection most days but making people queue up with a dinner ticket is a no no, the dining room situation is infuriating & shambolic, the staff charge about, you are basically limited to 1 drink & if you get up to help the kids with food you come back to a cleared table. We only ate in there 3/4 nights out of 10 & missed breakfast a few times to avoid the place. The hotel is clean but so dated and is light years away from other 4 stars in the area. I also visited the GF Adeje Gran 5 years ago and while the dining was fine, the bar staff blatantly ignored all inclusive guests there too - I blame the management. Up your game & take example from the Iberostar chain - they know how to make people have a fabulous holiday, the staff engage with guests, make you feel welcome & ensure your hard earned money is well spent.More
This was our first visit to Tenerife. The good points were - comfortable quiet room (we overlooked the mini golf). Breakfasts were good with plenty of choice and quality. Always found sun loungers even when we went out late morning. Staff very helpful generally (but see below). Drinks were reasonably priced. Some entertainment was good (but see below). We particularly liked the quiet adult pool on the roof. We did a lot of reading/sunbathing here. Sherry gave us a very good tour of the hotel. Without this we would not have booked in the a la Carte restaurant, which would have been a shame. She did say to mention her name when booking - but this gets you nothing extra. Also we were unaware of the spa area - apart from seeing what appeared to be a couple of overpriced treatments mentioned in the room. There was an offer that we may have taken up had we not been a bit sunburnt. We were also given a drink at the end of the tour. We were the only guests on the tour that week. The two areas that let it down were - tissues. You were presented with a box of four tissues in the bathroom. I had to buy a box of tissues for €1.30 in the supermarket next door. I will always downgrade a 5* if I have to do that. I don’t understand this level of penny pinching in a 5*. The others is there is no concierge desk. Reception were hopeless in this regard. Struggled to get restaurant recommendations particularly frustrating when we arrived late on our first night. There were also insistent La Caleta was a 15 minute walk even when I showed them my iPhone showing double the distance. We walked there and it was indeed 30 minutes. Also had to really push them to book a table for us at a restaurant there. The only other downside to the hotel is that it is slightly further out than some others and is an uphill walk back. It is still only 10 minutes to the beach if you go at a reasonable pace. Some of the entertainment was not that good. The sound system seemed to be particularly poor quality. Overall we enjoyed it enough to return next year as it seems good value. More
Love this hotel, been many times before, great place to chill and relax or be as active as you want. Couple of negatives this time though,1- food is lovely, lots of choice but on a couple of nights I did struggle to find something I liked(I'm not a picky eater), 2- the evening entertainment needs to be better, some of that acts have been performing there for many years and it's getting repetative,we went out most nights as the shows were not enough to keep us in the hotel,it may be a while before we return.More
We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights half board. We loved it and had very little to complain about. The decor was fantastic, the food was delicious and the service was great in the restaurants. The entertainment at night was good. My 9 year old daughter loved the magician, the acrobats and the flamenco dancers. It was good to be able to enjoy such a variety. The only small complaints I would have were that the shower wasn't great in our room, it was either far too hot or far to cold and the rail in the shower to hold on to was loose. You were also unable to control the temperature of the aircon, it was either in or off. Our biggest complaint would be smoking. People were regularly smoking on the balconies near our room which meant we couldn't sit out or have our door open. I also think there should be designated smoking areas by the pool. It is not nice as a family to sit amongst all the smokers. These are all just small complaints which could be easily resolved. They certainly wouldn't put us of returning to the hotel. We are already looking to book again for next year.More
