Visited the hotel on a 10 day all inclusive and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Rooms Great size, big bathroom, great view from the balcony! Hardly heard any noise and beds are very comfortable. Cleaners are lovely, so friendly and happy! There are also no kettle/hot drink facilities in the room which was slightly disappointing. We asked our rep and he said there was an incident a while ago and they removed all kettles. It’s a bit annoying to get up get changed and go downstairs to get a hot drink in the mornings and go back to the room. Cleanliness Very good! Noticed a few times in the early mornings or throughout the day especially the pool bar area being deep cleaned, restaurant area was always clean and mess free. Pool The downfall to the hotel as there are more sheltered areas than just sunbeds with umbrellas. The sheltered areas do open (it’s like a blind going across over you) however if one person wants it closed then you’re not in any sun and have to move sunbeds or compromise with other guests. To get the sunbeds with the umbrellas which are near the poolside we were waking up at 6.30/7am every morning to get a decent spot in the sun all day. The pool is big enough and was perfect to cool off in. Entertainment We watched the entertainment a few nights and it became quite repetitive and boring. It is definitely good for families! Just wasn’t our taste. We enjoyed one night when there were other acts from outside the hotel who were there to perform who were very good! Unsure if the hotel has a licence however all entertainment stops at 11pm and the pool bar area becomes silent. No background music or atmosphere which also really lets it down. We ended up either going to bed early or going out to make an evening of our holiday. Food Amazing! Great choice, very tasty and the waiters/waitresses are very attentive and friendly. We also really enjoyed the Spanish restaurant, the steak was very nice! Overall we did have a good stay. Probably wouldn’t rush and stay at a RIU hotel but it wasn’t bad at all. More
Hands down the best hotel I’ve been to!
I’ve recently returned from the best 2 week holiday I’ve ever been too. We arrived at the hotel where we were checked in straight away, rooms were spotless and spacious- plenty of storage space and the beds were comfy! The food was hands down the best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive hotel, plenty of choice and there was always something different every day if you wanted to. The Spanish and the Asian restaurants were absolutely amazing. There was plenty of choice at the bars as well and the cocktail list was lovely as well. Location of this hotel was ideal just a short walk away from the beach with plenty of bars and restaurants there as well. The staff at this hotel were helpful and friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble- our tui reps were also really helpful and we booked a few trips with them which were fab. I’ve been to many all inclusive hotels before however this hotel was the best hotel I’ve ever been too- I’ll 100% return to this hotel! More
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at.
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, very clean, welcoming and staff are fantastic. We arrived late on a Thursday night and were quickly checked in to our room. As we had missed dinner, a courtesy meal was put on for us at 23:00. This consisted of mainly bread, pasta and sandwiches. However if you want a burger or a hotdog wait until 00:00 where you can find a microwave and fridges just at the main stage under the after hours stand. Breakfast was very similar to the one I experienced in Lanzarote, where you had the usual selection of breakfast type foods as well as churros and pancakes. We discovered that the chefs would make waffles every 3 days roughly which were amazing. Had many types of scrambled and omelettes available too. All drinks were available at breakfast to at self service machines so if you fancy a beer at breakfast or a wee glass of wine it’s there for the taking. Dinner was good but quite repetitive no complaints tho there was always something to eat. If you enjoy veal you’ll love it as it was on offer every night cooked in different ways. Saturday nights have a chocolate fountain which tasted incredible like something you’d get out of Thornton’s. The pool is incredible spacious with loungers in plentiful supply. The ground is sheeted with a non heat absorbing material which is great so you don’t burn you feet as you run to the pool which is usually a formality in Spain and other hot countries. We were able to get two beds right next to the pool at half 9 every morning even tho the early birds had already been down to claim there beds however this could have been because it was September. The one main drawback however is many beds are covered under a canopy (can be open and shut) usually 8 to 12 roughly which caused tension among guests when some wanted it open and some wanting it shut. On one occasion a group of people asked it to be shut to the dismay of one gentleman with further aggravation when the group left for lunch. Personally think these should be removed from pool side and maybe moved back as the whole point of coming to a place like this is to get in the sun. Noted it was usually older people who were not for opening the canopy’s. The room itself was excellent was spacious and very clean however the air con was pretty poor. Entertainment was decent with entertainment staff performing the best shows compared to the ones that are brought it. The entertainment staff are one of the hardest working team I’ve seen at hotels. Definitely an asset to the hotel with aqua fit to darts. I’d give the hotel 8.5/10 as there are some improvements here and there but the 24hr drinks and fast service at the bar are a extreme asset. **If you require late checkout the cost is €20 per hour with checkout time being 11am.More
Having stayed in other hotels in the area numerous of times this hotel definitely made a fantastic holiday. We were given a fantastic room with best view of everything and the hotel was very very clean. The staff from reception to restaurant to bars to entertainment were very friendly and worked very hard to ensure everyone was happy. Additional small things like 24 hour all inclusive, towels for pool, free bottled water, fridge in room made this hotel stand out from any other stays in nearby hotels and I will certainly be returning. The two themed restaurants were also an added bonus and the food from these was good. Super hotel!! Thanks Papayas we will be back!! More
Came here for a 5 day break, on arrival the lovely smell of cleanliness was the first thing I noticed. All staff were very helpful and professional. The room was lovely, the food was fine and always could find something to eat. visited both the Spanish and Asian restaurant. The sea bass in the Spanish was absolutely delicious, the Asian was nice for a change. All in all the hotel is what it says on the tin. Can't comment on the entertainment as I didn't watch it. Would have been nice if there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and bring your own iron. As for the area outside of the hotel, it wasn't really my cup of tea. If you like loads of bars, restaurants and shopping centres then this will be the place for you. All in all a fabulous holiday with lovely sunshineMore
