My wife and I visited the Rui 13/1/20 - 20/1/20 From the moment you enter hotel the experience was Excellent. The staff were polite and accommodating. The room was perfect. 1st floor. Buffet restaurant clean prompt service all smiles, variety fantastic. Everyone catered for. 2 a la carte restaurants. Reservations needed, if available you could dine here Everyday One was Chinese the other Spanish ( our fav ) Lovely pool, The only negative here, if you didn’t get up early, ALL decent sun lounges taken. 2 bar areas The pool bar, plastic glasses. Very attentive staff, never waited for a drink, good local selection. A quieter bar again attentive staff. Entertainment was varied, every eve. I would definitely recommend and would return. WELL DONE RUIMore
Just had a weeks sunshine break in this fabulous hotel and could not find a fault it is simple one of the best hotels I have stayed in the rooms are spacious and spotless and comfortable as is everywhere in the hotel a beautiful pool has a lifeguard all day everyday, the food is excellent and so much choice, all the staff are friendly helpful and polite and a big shout out to the animation team who work so hard to keep everyone entertained they bring so much fun and their evening shows are first class an absolutely brilliant place to stay also close to shops, taxi rank and bus stop.More
Great hotel, super clean, really friendly staff.
We’ve just had 14 nights in room 251 and we absolved this hotel. The room was spacious, overlooking the garden, and spotless. We got the morning sun, which i suspect in high season would be the best spot. The restaurants are great, a huge selection of food in the buffet restaurant. The Spanish restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, the Asian is very average but still worth trying for a change. The staff are all really really lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. The animation team work really hard round the pool all day and then put shows on at night. We played boules most days with Aleyda and Adrian and they had us in stitches. It’s well worth joining in things if you are staying in the hotel for the day. The buses to pretty much anywhere stop just outside the hotel. Puerto Rico and Puerto Mogan are very easy to get to on public transport. Melanores is walkable from the hotel, or it’s a 5 euro taxi ride. Great location, great staff, good quality hotel. We will definitely return. If I was to be ultra critical ( I had to dig deep to find a fault but i like to add some balance), It could do with some heaters around the Dunos bar in and evening. The hotel bars are both outside, and whilst the pool bar had outside heaters the Dunos doesn’t and it got a tad chilly at night at that end. We would have possibly enjoyed some tea and coffee making facilities in our room as well. Yes, you can pop down and get a coffee at any time of the day and night but it would be nice just to be able to make that first cup of the day in your room before going down the breakfast. All in all, a super hotel which I would highly recommend. More

we travelled as a couple in january and would like to thank Riu Papyas hotel manager and all the staff for a lovely week . Lovely staff great place to stay, we stayed for 1 week in january and enjoyed it so much food and drinks selection was perfect . This is a honest review.... Hotel rooms are spotless with fridge, safe and hairdryer . food selection So many different dishes to choose . Poolside is kept immaculate...plenty of sun beds. January weather early 20’s . in the evening as the entertainment and bars are outside with limited cover, bring some thick jumpers or jacket .Entertainment staff so friendly and are great at what they do...they work extremely hard with great results. 10 min walk to the beach , or free shuttle bus to beach . local shops 2 min walk outside of the hotel. All in all I would rate this hotel a 4/ 5 star and will definitely be returning next year . been to many hotels , and honestly this cannot be faulted .More
