The hotel is well worthy of its four stars. Staff are friendly and professional, the environment is modern and clean. The food is of a high standard and the Ala carte restaurant is well worth a visit. Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were good quality. The majority of bedrooms have a sea view , it’s a few minutes walk to the beach and sand dunes. If you are looking for a lovely place to relax in the sun you will be pleasantly surprised.More

Nice relaxing break
Enjoyed our stay. Food was fantastic and particularly enjoyed the Canarias potatoes. Tables were a little to close together. service was excellent and facilities including the pool is what you would expect from a Riu Palace. Entertainment was good at times.More
Excellent, enjoyable and memorable time
I spent one week at Hotel Riu Palace Palmeras with my family. We had an amazing time, the staff were friendly, the food was excellent, the hotel was clean and superb. There were two of the family members who celebrated their birthdays during this time, we appreciate that the hotel made our celebration memorable. I highly recommend this hotel.More
Just back from two weeks here. Great location, easy to get around from here with bus stops close by and taxis are very cheap to use. The hotel staff cannot do enough for you. We always found them all to be very cheerful and polite. Great food and choice. Excellent chefs. We were out every morning until lunchtime and always managed to find a sunbed when we wanted one so no need to reserve. The rooms were newly refurbished and cleaned daily. We were on the 4th floor and had pleasant views of the grounds, pool and sea. There is a towel exchange at no cost. As was the safe in the room. The evening entertainment was mainly a regular band who unfortunately always seemed to play the same set of songs when there. Occasionally there would be an alternative which were very good. The hotel is quiet both day and night as the entertainment is away from the rooms. We came with Saga and our rep Dawn was wonderful. Nothing was ever a problem for her. Sadly though Saga are now moving on from this hotel but Dawn very kindly did take us to see the new one, The Dunas in Maspaloma. Which we liked alot. All that aside the Palace was mainly German people so not many we could talk too. But we did have a great time and would recommend this hotel if you go with TUI.More
The all inclusive experience done to a very good standard,
My wife and I stayed at the hotel between the 28th of August and 4th September. When coming to Gran Canaria, we normally stay in San Augustin, but this hotel was offering a very good price, so we decided to give it a try. The hotel has just been given a complete overhaul, and everything is new. We had room 731 on the top floor, so a good view of the sea, and the sand dunes. However, the balcony was very small, and just about fitted two upright chairs. The room itself was small but comfortable. It had both air-con and a ceiling fan, so no problems regarding keeping cool. The bathroom, was a decent size,, with a nice large shower. The room was kept very clean by our maid who did a great job. The all-inclusive was to a high standard, with food a drink available almost all day. The main restaurant offered a good standard of food, which was served on smaller plates rather than the steel containers in some hotels. Also, it was always hot and tasted fresh. There is also an Alla Carte restaurant you also had access to but found the quality of food there not that good. Evening entertainment in the large bar area was passable, but not great. The usual Flamenco for foreigners, which was average at best, and a couple of average live bads. The service in the small bar was good, but in the large bar, it was erratic, and sometimes even difficult to order a drink. All in all, a good hotel, and if you want the all-inclusive holiday factory experience, this is a good place to consider. More
