We stayed at the Riu Palace Oasis in Maspalomas for ten nights in September and had a really relaxing holiday in great surroundings. The hotel itself is beautiful great rooms and public spaces, plenty of places inside and out to relax. A main buffet restaurant with a good variety of food and two other restaurants to book. We tried both and would definatley recommend booking them especially Krystal Fusion. It's location is ideal close to the beach and plenty of bars and shops a short walk away. The shinning stars though have to be the staff, all were so friendly and helpful. A special mention to More
Hotel Rui Palace Maspalomas
We had an excellent week at his hotel. Checkin formalities were quickly completed, our room wasn’t quite ready as we arrived mid morning but we were invited to sit on the terrace and we were served a complimentary drink. After about 30 minutes we were informed our room was ready and that our luggage would be delivered immediately. The room was quite large and well furnished, the bathroom was well equipped including bathrobes. All areas of the hotel were of a high standard. In terms of decor and cleanliness. The restaurant was first class, it was probably the best buffet in terms of choice and quality that I have experienced. The pool area was well kept with no trouble finding a sun lounger and parasol, pool towels were readily available. Evening entertainment every night was what I would describe as low key but obviously aimed at the more mature majority of guests. What really makes this hotel standout for me were the staff, always friendly and welcoming with excellent service. I am surprised this hotel is only classed as a four star, in my opinion it is well worth a five star rating. This was our second visit to a Riu hotel and it certainly won’t be our last.More
Excellent choice. But never again with TUI.
Another very pleasant stay booked as a package through TUI. The rooms are functional with very efficient housekeeping. I had a large terrace overlooking the dunes. Decent pool area. The pool water could do with a change. It tastes plain nasty, so care needed if swimming. Food good, as always. I particularly like the salad lunch buffet . Also excellent value. Without exception the team here works hard to deliver real hospitality. I was unwell during my stay. TUI were useless and refused to help in any way whatsoever when I called their service centre. Fortunately the hotel arranged a doctor and collecting a prescription (I was alone and confined to bed for three days). A really helpful staff member (sorry, was too out of it to catch his name) stopped by a couple of times to check i was OK and arranged soup etc when I was well enough. I would certainly return however it makes more sense to book direct with separate flights and taxis. I will not be booking anything with TUI again. I will certainly never trust them with travel arrangements for my family either. More
Great hotel 5th visit
This was our 5th visit to the hotel and once again it lived up to expectations. We were greeted on our arrival by Christopher who said welcome home and gave me a big hug. The staff were as usual very attentive and many remembered us too. The food was up to the usual standard and very tasty. It was our anniversary when we were there and we received a bottle of Cava and some flowers from the hotel Management. We ate in the Krystal that night and had a candlelit petal strewn table which made you feel special and the food was delicious. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and going again next year. More
This is a lovely hotel, although it’s a bit too far away from the beach, the staff are so warm and friendly especially Daniela, the waitress from the pool bar, this was our first visit here, and the weather certainly couldn’t have been much better, although there was no entertainment during the day, there was a bit until about 11.30pm every evening, the food is okay, overall it’s a very good hotel.More
