Riu Palace Meloneras
This high-end hotel has a pair of pools tucked among its pristine gardens. And it’s right on the seafront, too.
The property is set among vast gardens and ocean-view terraces. Style-wise, everything's really contemporary. Bedrooms, for instance, are done out top-to-toe in cool grey.
In terms of location, it’s in a good spot with direct access to a car-free promenade and Maspalomas beach only a 12-minute walk away.

2nd visit to this outstanding hotel
Our second visit to this hotel, the first being last November. We don't usually go to a hotel more than once, but due to a bout of ill health earlier on in the year and having to cancel a long haul holiday, thought we would go back to somewhere we knew and enjoyed. It was as good as the first time, though with better weather! We chose a garden room again (last time we were upgraded to one) and were closer to the sea this time, though not with a seaview. The rooms are just wonderful, so spacious and clean. The food was exceptional again with so much choice and we also enjoyed the Krystal and Spanish restaurants again (once each in the 11 days we were there). We thought the service in both was very good. The staff are outstanding and so helpful and friendly at all times. We did notice a lot more people with mobility issues this time around and they were catered for so well at the pools (sunbeds) and access to everywhere. It really is a user friendly hotel. As mentioned by others, the reserving of sunbeds is somewhat an issue but we always managed to get somewhere (usually the adult only pool). We cannot fault this hotel and would definitely come back again at some point.More
Another very enjoyable stay at the Riu Palace Meloneras
Our third time staying at this hotel in the last 7 years. Excellent location, a great selection of food and very friendly and helpful staff. A special mention to Martin the waiter who, for us, is the face of the Riu Palace Meloneras - always smiling and cheerful. A very relaxing holiday.More
We had an excellent stay at Hotel Riu Palace Meloneras. Breakfast and dinner was outstanding, as was the cleaning. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful throughout. Although the hotel was (nearly) fully booked, it was still quiet and relaxed at the pool and the premises. I only have one recommendation, regarding the gym facilities. I would love to see them upgraded a little: better fitness mats for ground excersizes and some dumbbells to excursive even a little more. More
My husband and I returned last week after having a relaxing week here. My husband has severe walking difficulties and needs a frame to get about .As the hotel grounds are so big we decided to get a mobility scooter. After asking about it at reception there was a scooter there for us within the hour. He was able to enter the dining room on it (where a table was reserved for us) and also he could take it down to the pool along with his walker. He rode the scooter to the pool and the walker to get to the steps to get into the water. The pool attendants put two sunbeds on top of each other to help him get on and off. They were also on hand to put the umbrella up and down as requested. There were ramps all around the hotel so we were able to go anywhere. The door onto the prom meant that he could experience the views, bars and the freedom of the local environment. While the hotel was the best we have been to since his stroke for accessibility, it was also ideal for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday with thoughtful, courteous staff who would do any thing for you. We would definitely return as we could not wish for anything else.More
This is a fantastic hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I stayed at the hotel in May 2019 which is the first time since the refurbishment 4 years ago. The hotel is quality on all levels and I would definitely recommend this hotel.More
