Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort
This palatial hotel puts you right by the beach. It also comes with four massive pools and lots of fantastic places to eat.
This place is more like a big palace than a hotel. Four huge pools wind their way through the gardens, where you’ll also find four poolside snack bars and four tennis courts. The grounds lead right onto a sandy beach.
The hotel has a big choice of restaurants, with the star turn being the gourmet place. There’s regular live entertainment, too, while pampering comes courtesy of the luxury spa.

Mass processing in a canteen with rooms atop
After several stays at Seaside Palm Beach and RIU Palace Meloneras, we this time shortly decided to book our stay at Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort, which was the complete wrong decision. The resort looks amazing from outside, is clean and the gardens are lovely. However the rooms are dated and in desperate need of a renovation, the pools are cold with broken tiles, the food (half board) is a catastrophe (like in the worst plant canteen one can imagine!), and beside a wide selection of restaurant outlets, one can only use one a la carte restaurant with deduction to escape the buffets at the „canteens“. Everything is by extra charge: gym, sauna/spa, change of towels at the pool, etc. Nonetheless, I would like to mention the staff, that is truly engaged and extremely friendly and attentive! I am traveling a lot and am full of praise for resorts such as Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Four Seasons Bali Jimbaran, St. Regis Mardavall, Seaside Palm Beach just to mention a few destinations I visited recently. Do not come here if you want noise. I booked a sea view room and paid extra. In the afternoon there is music coming from below. The evening show is worse. Blaring music directed at the front of the hotel goes on till 22.30. There is no warning of this when you book. Even thougn I am on the 5tn floor the smell of cigarette smoke wafts up.. The rooms are tired and could do with a refurbish Palm Beach hotel is superiorMore
Vegans & Vegetarians Beware!
A wonderful place to stay, huge resort with 4 star level decor. Rooms are just about ok in size. But they absolutely do not cater much in terms of veggie food if you've booked half or full board! Lovely swimming pools too!More
Good and bad
. Masapalomas is quite small. The good- The Hotel itself is really nice and a pleasure to wander around. Really comfy beds and rooms are spotless. Nice terraces to sit around within the hotel grounds . Food in the buffet restaurant was a wide choice. Altho lukewarm at times. The staff were mostly attentive and looked after us during our stay. Spa area is big and varied , loved the flotation pool. The bad- the rooms need upgraded but this did not impact our stay negatively. one night for dinner, for safety?? one of the restaurants was closed out of the blue.. So, a large queue formed to get dinner in the one remaining restaurant. We all waited up to 40 minutes to eat. I didn’t like the look of the very busy buffet going on, as there were so many people queues formed in there too at the food stops. It wouldn’t have done my holiday any good to get involved in the buffet melee. we ate in a restaurant elsewhere that night. We asked for that night food charge to be refunded many times but were turned down as “ food was provided”.We checked out and were charged for the wrong room and drinks bill. By a surly cashier chap. They also debited our correct bill from our bank account after we left. So, we have paid for someone else ‘s bill along with our own. I am still waiting to see if/ when my bill query will be resolved and refunded. These instances just leave a bad taste in our mouths, although we had a lovely break. Such a shame , poor customer service.More
