Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort
This palatial hotel puts you right by the beach. It also comes with four massive pools and lots of fantastic places to eat.
This place is more like a big palace than a hotel. Four huge pools wind their way through the gardens, where you’ll also find four poolside snack bars and four tennis courts. The grounds lead right onto a sandy beach.
The hotel has a big choice of restaurants, with the star turn being the gourmet place. There’s regular live entertainment, too, while pampering comes courtesy of the luxury spa.

Excellent hotel beautiful gardens and swimming pools. The buffet restaurants were very good with a nice variation of foods.Just a short walk from bars and restaurants . Didnt see a need to charge for the room safe. Air con in our room was a little warm.More
We have just returned from 9 nights at this splendid hotel which the lovely staff keep beautifully clean. The lounge areas inside and out are very comfortable with large sofas and chairs. The vista as you arrive is luxurious as is the view out over the infinity pool. The buffet has plenty to offer (if a little the same ) for breakfast and dinner. The italian ( Extra cost on half board ) has a lovely ambience and delicious food although there was a restricted menu as the chef was off ! We travelled with Jet2 holidays and they have a service to pick up your luggage to take it to the airport which was great . It’s only a short walk to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Would certainly return.More
Despite our web-reservation confirmation, they told us there is no room available for us !!! What a bad organization... the famous swimming-pool facing the ocean seems to be marvellous but not for us !! They transfered us to a « better hotel » they said... indeed, in a five star hotel but without any soul, just a big resort that could in the middle of Texas. we are fed up with Lopesan Hotel !More

Lovely pools and garden areas...
Just returned from a week’s holiday at this hotel. The entrance to the hotel and the reception area are beautiful, as are the gardens and pool areas. The positives about the hotel from our family are: • Good selection of food, breakfast in particular. • Great variety of daytime activities, the lad who ran the water gym classes/pool cycling etc was superb, full of energy and a lot of fun. My children also really liked his sense of humour. • The girl who ran the Molky game was also very good and did well at remembering guests’ names. Very friendly. • The evening entertainment was good, the house band were popular too, espcially the tambourine man – full of energy and fun! • Lovely pool areas. • Nice area outside the hotel for a little stroll. • Nice beach, windy most days we visited. • Security on the gate exit to the beach area were good and reassuring that non hotel guests could not get in to use the pools etc. • The man who ran the football activity was very good and involved. • The key card as drink ordering etc worked well. • Easy check out system. The negatives from our family are: • The female evening reception staff are not very polite, they could benefit from some customer care training. • The restaurant to the right as you enter the food area is more like a school canteen; the food however was very nice on most nights. • The rooms are a little dated and worn, but are very clean. • The pools were cold (October stay). • Too many palm trees – resulting in too much shade over the sun beds (perhaps a good thing in peak summer, but not in October!). • The rule of “no reserving sun beds” is absolutely useless. Towels were down early in the morning and some beds were not even used during the day, even though reserved with the towel! I asked the man in the towel hut about this – he said the hotel policy is that they CANNOT remove towels! • The kids club – only used briefly. Aimed at the younger children and the two girls running it were not so full of energy or fun– meaning hard for children to take to. The guy from the aqua aerobics would be very well suited with the children – an instant hit! • Casino next door was not great – no wins, not even a euro on the slots! I think a bit of a con personally! • The smoke around the pool/sun bed area! Awful that some guests still think this is socially acceptable, especially with many children about! Did spoil our relaxation time during the day. All in all, a good holiday and stay at this hotel.More
Hotel in need of complete refurbishment
We stayed at the Lopesan Costa Meloneras for 10 days recently and while the pool and gardens are very nice the hotel rooms are extremely dated and require a complete upgrade. The food was only tepid on many occasions and the dining room chefs were extremely rude serving food without a smile and disinterested in their guests. Certainly very poor value for money and we would not return. More
