Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort
This palatial hotel puts you right by the beach. It also comes with four massive pools and lots of fantastic places to eat.
This place is more like a big palace than a hotel. Four huge pools wind their way through the gardens, where you’ll also find four poolside snack bars and four tennis courts. The grounds lead right onto a sandy beach.
The hotel has a big choice of restaurants, with the star turn being the gourmet place. There’s regular live entertainment, too, while pampering comes courtesy of the luxury spa.

Such a beautiful place, the food was amazing and the staff were great, very attentive. The main infinity pool is fantastic and the other pools are great too. I can't recommend this place enough! We went half board which allowed freedom during the day. The evening entertainment was really good too. The only thing that was a little annoying was you have to pay for drinks with your evening meal, but everything else was just perfect. The air conditioning in the rooms was also fab!More
Great 'Holiday' hotel - excellent for a family holiday 👍
I stay in hotels a lot when travelling on Business (Hilton, Marriott, Four Seasons, etc) it was nice to stay in a holiday hotel that offers similar great service. The Hotel is probably the best in the Meloneras area. It has beautiful spacious grounds, numerous great swimming pools, lovely spacious rooms, great half-board food, super helpful staff, friendly fellow guests 😉, lots of Sunbeds (that you don't need to get up at 6am to get), shaded areas covered by Palm trees. Drinks prices are pretty reasonable (and the Table service is excellent). The Hotel's location is perfect for the Sea/Beach/Promenade. I visited with my wife and 2 kids (14 & 16) they all loved it - so much so, they're already talking about returning next year 🤣 I've seen some people have criticised the food which to me is simply crazy! The food is excellent, always LOTS of choice of hot food, as well as grilled to order meat and fish, salads, etc. The only negatives of the hotel (or areas for improvement) I would say are: Improve the Gym - add a few Cross-Trainers and another 2 Running machines, and add some better free weights. Make your hotel completely smoke free. You don't allow smoking in bedrooms or in the restaurant you now need to stop it in the outside bar area and by the sun beds.More
Fun relaxed resort
We visited as a family and stayed in a standard garden view room (double bed + single bed)with plenty of room to move around each other. The room has a large TV (only the standard English news channels) The bathroom has a bath and separate shower, a good hairdryer (no nozzle) and lots of clean towels and robes. The restaurants were very well run. There was different dishes each night so never really got dull. When we visited in July there were no restrictions on men wearing smart shorts so no need to worry about long trousers in heat. The staff are all very accommodating and friendly, reception staff were also great. The evening entertainment was also great. Lots of different acts to keep you entertained. If i have one disappointment it was the usual sunbed reserving. If you wanted a bed near a pool you would have to be down there by 7am or you were in the gardens looking at all the EMPTY reserved beds at 2pm. I found this really frustrating and did approach the pool staff about it but they didn’t remove the towels (which i was lead to believe would happen). Having said that, there were plenty of beds and my child is older so wasn’t really a problem not being next to the pool but with younger this might be a problem. The pool areas were spotlessly clean as were the pool bars. The beach area isn’t very comfortable to walk on as its small stones not sand so not great for little children as it will hurt their feet. All the pools are gorgeous but obviously the large infinity pool is the most popular but was never over crowded. The lazy river pool was fun too. Over all it was a great holiday and would recommend without question and would love to go back. More
Beautiful Pools, Amazing Location & Spotlessly Clean
We stayed B&B as the hotel is a very short walk from the most fantastic range of restaurants. The pools are lovely and the whole hotel inside and out was very clean and tidy including the gardens. The hotel is big but not overbearing and its easy to find your way around. All of the staff from housekeeping, concierge, reception and bar/food staff went out of the way to help and were all lovely. Breakfast was very good and there were lots of variety. The prices for lunch in the pool bars is also very reasonable as are the drinks prices within the hotel. There is entertainment at nighttime but this get very busy as I think people come in from other hotels to watch. There are lots of Sunbeds and umbrellas so we never had a problem even as fairly late risers. The hotel provides pool towels and a beach bag for each room which is also very helpful to know before you go.More
