Hotel Riu Palace Oasis
This hotel lines up a trio of pools that come hugged by a frame of palm trees. And, there's a beach right outside.
The Riu Palace Oasis is hard to beat on location. Turn right out of the gate and you’ll hit Meloneras promenade. Turn left, and you’re right on Maspalomas’ sizeable swathe of golden sand.
This place had a full refurbishment in 2018, so you'll find three brand new swimming pools, a new restaurant and a first-class spa in the mix. To top things off, the hotel's surrounded by acres of picture-perfect gardens.

Holiday in the renovated Riu Palace Oasis
We called into the Palace Oasis as we were staying an extra night in Maspalomas - we were very impressed with the new look hotel, with great food , room and entertainment with helpful staff and great location ( next time it will have to be the swim up rooms ) Thoroughly recommend it :-) More
We have stayed at various Riu Hotels, last one being Jamaica, but Hotel Riu Palace Oasis exceedes all others, very impressive. Food wonderful with plenty of choice. Beautiful gardens, room very clean. All staff very friendly. We absolutely loved our stay, very relaxing. Only one suggestion is that you ban smoking from the restaurant.More
Wonderful return visit
This holiday in May 2019 was the first time we had been back since the hotel was refurbished, and we were very pleasantly surprised. All rooms now have coffee/ tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, so no need ladies to bring your travel kettle ! We had chosen a garden view room, and were allocated Room 2103, in a new building on the ground floor, with patio overlooking the beautiful gardens , and close to one of the new pools. This area was quiet , as the pool is relatively small, and although there is building work still being done nearby, they were the quietest builders I have ever come across! I should however point out that in the same building there are rooms which look out towards the street rather than the gardens and I would not have been happy with them. There is also a nice children’s nursery in this area with indoor and outdoor activities and it’s own shallow pool, and for anyone who can remember the library before refurb, this is where the books are now kept to be borrowed. The large gardens are amazing , with palm trees , fountain, colourful plants , parakeets and woodpecker type birds , and so peaceful. The food was very good in the main buffet restaurant , and was prepared in full view at each serving area. We had two meals in the Krystal restaurant, which had to be booked in advance for either 6.30 or 8.30 sitting, and require a dress code of long trousers for men, but otherwise smart casual would be fine. Evening entertainment was good in the Palm bar , next to the main swimming pool, and finished at 11pm each evening. This was definitely better than pre refurb ! The third swimming pool is now in the front gardens on the way to the beach , where there used to be a large pond. I was surprised to find that the reception area is now enormous, and the extensive seating area seemed excessive, however the Reception staff were excellent and speedily dealt with a couple of our enquiries . As noted by many other visitors, the staff are very pleasant, but really they should be , working in a five star hotel , where expectations are presumably higher. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay because although the rooms and staff are lovely, the tranquillity of the gardens is so unique , and this is what makes this hotel so special and different from neighbouring hotels. This used to be mainly a middle aged persons hotel but I can confirm that this has now changed, and that there is now a variety of young children, teens , couples , middle aged and elderly guests. The refurb is definitely an improvement.More
