Hotel Riu Palace Oasis
This hotel lines up a trio of pools that come hugged by a frame of palm trees. And, there's a beach right outside.
The Riu Palace Oasis is hard to beat on location. Turn right out of the gate and you’ll hit Meloneras promenade. Turn left, and you’re right on Maspalomas’ sizeable swathe of golden sand.
This place had a full refurbishment in 2018, so you'll find three brand new swimming pools, a new restaurant and a first-class spa in the mix. To top things off, the hotel's surrounded by acres of picture-perfect gardens.

We are currently staying at the Riu Oasis Palace and are having a great stay! Having stayed at the Riu Tenerife Palace (amazing hotel) and the Riu Cabo Verde Palace we were expecting a great holiday and we have not been disappointed! We were greeted upon arrival with complimentary drinks and advised we had been given room upgrades at no extra charge, which was a perfect start to the holiday. The rooms are well presented and exceptionally clean (although smaller than the Tenerife Palace). Fizz and fruit provided, which is a lovely touch! The whole hotel and grounds are spotless and the staff all work tirelessly throughout the day to keep it this way. Every member of staff we have seen has greeted us, smiled and made our stay wonderful. The food is probably one of the best we have experienced, there is a large choice for breakfast and everything is prepared fresh and well presented. We tried the speciality restaurants and by far Krystal was the best. The food was amazing, the only thing we have to say is we’d wished we had booked for more than once during our stay! Our only negative about the stay is other guests reserving loungers around the pool and not sitting on them until later in the day. We experienced this everyday and were disappointed the hotel rules were not inforced and the towels removed! This is our second stay on the island in Meloneras (last year we stayed at the Lopesan Villa del Conde) it is a beautiful place with some great restaurants and shops a short walk from the hotel. Now all we have to do is choose another Riu hotel for the next holiday!!More

This beach hotel is fantastic!Location is very convenient, hotel was recently renovated so everything looked really nice.It is worth it to book a room in the main building overlooking the Ocean,we were pleasantly surprised when our room was upgraded to this premium one.The only criticism was food for me, if you have allergies or intolerance to certain foods, despite labels you have to double check what can you eat.Food was tasty and hot!More
This was our first stay in RIU hotel and first visit to Gran Canaria. We had room with car park view on the 4th floor but it wasn't to bad at all. We could see mountains in the back ground and palm trees next to our balcony. The good thing is that we had sun most of the day on our balcony. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, plenty of storage space in drawers and wardrobe. Bathrooms are modern with sensors at night so you don't have to switch light on when you are using bathroom at night. They clean rooms well apart from the floors. Vacuum cleaner is used only when guests are changing not on daily basis, so wiping dusty floors with damp cloth will not remove everything. No slippers in rooms!!! So either you are walking in flip flops or bare foot collecting all those small bits and pieces of dirt...…:( I like my floors very clean and this was really annoying!!!! This is 5 ***** hotel and we were charged 56 euros for deposit box which wasn't even large enough to fit my 15" lap top???? JOKE!!!! Parking at the hotel is just ridiculous. There are 400 rooms and only 20 parking spaces so if you are lucky you get parking spot for the time of your holiday. You can get out and in whenever you like which is not fair to other guests. The hotel needs to think about it so others get the chance to park in the car park as well. This was a major issue for us and we will not stay in this hotel again if we don't get the parking. You can park outside but sometimes we had to wait for one hour to get the spot!!! Smoking around pools and in the restaurant outside is aloud and again not fair for those who do not smoke!!! One time our 8 year old daughter was eating her lunch next to swimming pool and "gentleman" next to us was lighting his cigarette!!! Food was really nice with plenty of choice. Chocolate fountain every second day. Stake and fish made to order. Nothing was wrong, everything was delicious. I will attache some pictures for you. Very good entertainment every evening at 9.30pm. Our daughter loved it!!! Not so much of a kids club. Maybe for very young children... We visited this hotel in August and it was very busy so not enough loungers around swimming pools. People reserve chairs at 9 in the morning and then they don't show up until 5 or 6pm. So selfish and hotel doesn't do anything about it. Inflatables are not aloud but during our 9 night stay we were told off only once not to use it, so it depends who is on duty really. We loved the gardens with huge palm trees. Location is really good as you are right on the dunes with private access to the beach. You also have showers next to the entrance so you can wash off sand from the beach instead of going to your room. Plenty of shops and restaurants behind the corner if you prefer to eat out. You can eat in the buffet restaurant or you can try other restaurants but you need to book your table in advance. If you have health problem there is possibility of seeing a doctor every morning between 10.30 and 11.30am for the charge of 90 euros. This is very thoughtful as this spares you the hassle of going around island looking for the hospital and then waiting for someone to see you. The doctor comes to your room for consultation which was incredibly convenient for us. After all we had a nice stay but parking problem is a huge issue for us and we want stay again unless we have parking spot confirmed.More
How amazing was this place?
Beautiful location. Immaculately kept. Attentive and helpful staff. Could not fault it. It’s a five star venue and rightfully deserves the rating. I’d take the family back there on holiday in a heartbeat. More
