Globales Santa Lucia
This beachside hotel had a fresh new look for summer 2018, it comes with great views, a sociable buffet restaurant and a cocktail bar*.
The hotel slices the coast between the beaches of Son Matias and Palma Nova, so there’s sand outside and sea views from every room. It’s 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of town, and less than 15 to Magaluf.
The good-sized pool looks out over the sandy beach, and it’s circled by thatched parasols. Food-wise, the buffet restaurant serves some great fish dishes, while a pair of bars covers cocktails* and entertainment.

Great Location BUT>>>>
Was NOT informed of tourist tax until arrival at the hotel Reception desk - when you combine that with the price of your safety deposit box you have spent at least 100 Euros before your holiday has even started. Food was just so so - nothing great - staff were ok, rooms were kept spotless Not that we used the pool - but for goodness sake - queuing up to reserve a lounger was just not on -these adults should get a grip - we have ALL paid our money for a holiday not just yourselves - had a look round pool and there is not a lot of room for loungers let alone bodies on them - felt everyone was like sardines . The only great thing was the fact that the beach is right on your doorstep. Lovely to watch all the yachts coming in and feel free to have a dip in the water (without sardines at the pool ogling you) . Location is good but too many of the SAME shops selling the SAME things. The Orion pub across the road is so handy but found that most of these bars have huge TVs - come on we try to get away from Football etc,. Although food was good at the hotel ,we ate out 3 times just to try local cuisine. With never having been in Majorca before - walked into Magaluf (unknown to us we were in that area) What an eyeopener!!!. just full of drunken louts. Never been to Blackpool (don't ever want to) but would imagine this is what Blackpool would look like - full of "Old Tat" Only reason I would go back is the fact the hotel on the beach and weather .More
Great location and hotel
Just stayed for five nights, beachside location is great. Staff friendly but not over the top. Great choice of breakfast and when asked they catered for my gluten free needs. If you get a room at back of hotel deliveries might wake you, which they did my daughter, which is why I did not give five stars. Both hotel and pool side very clean, indoor and outdoor pools, even a spa. I very much enjoyed my stay and would return. The hotel even gave me a present as it was my birthday during my staff.More
NOT 4 STAR!
Disgusting food! Not 4 star at all and unfreindly staff. You will do well if you like eating boiled meat, gravy and chips every night. Hardly any spanish cusine on the menu. Not to mention the €46 beach tax even if your "allinclusive". What a rip off!More
Anna Rose F,
Firstly let me mention the tourist tax payable on arrival at the hotel about 65 euros for 11 days that is not mentioned in the literature probably as it would put people off going to the Balearic Islands. The hotel room, food and service and entertainment provided was excellent. This all-inclusive hotel is ideally suited for smokers. We being non-smokers could not enjoy our AI experience anywhere outdoors that the hotel offered. People smoked outdoors at breakfast, so you could not take in the beautiful coastline views. Lunch and evening meals were the same. The terrace bar was also full of smokers . The fact that there was a glass screen all around the terrace meant that there was little air flow to take the smoke away. So we were confined to indoor meals and being indoors in the evening, or sit on the sun loungers at night away from the bar. During the day we had smokers all around us whilst sunbathing. The balconies are designed in a zigzag format, so we had smoke from our neighbours beneath us as well as next door. It was extremely hot when we went in June 2019 and would have appreciated some smoke free outdoor space. Can you believe that people were even smoking during the activities ie whilst playing pool, boules on the beach and shuffleboard. It is a TUI only hotel they should be ashamed of themselves-they should have at least non-smoking areas and non smoking rooms together.More
Let me start by saying we have just returned from honeymoon here. We cannot understand where all these negative points about the food come from. Yes there are problem items some people didn't like but the selection of meat. Fish. Salad. Pasta etc was fine. The food was actually quite nice. The hotel itself was perfectly situated right between 2 beaches. And the views from the rooftop pool are fantastic. We have to give a special mention to the lady on the bar on the rooftop pool. Anna who is fantastic, she simply could not do enough for you and always had a smile on her face. We never sampled any of the nightly entertainment as we preferred to go out into Palmanova. All in all this is a great hotel and we are already planning on coming back for our first anniversary next year. More
