Holidays to Camp de Mar take you to a classy resort on Majorca's south-west coast, where the golf courses are as chichi as the shops. No wonder Tom Cruise likes it here.
Camp de Mar
Start or finish your Cruise & Stay holiday with a visit to the resort of Camp de Mar, a quiet and exclusive corner of Majorca.
Camp de Mar is a good spot to get away from it all. Although only 40 minutes from bustling Palma, Camp de Mar has a slower and quieter pace than some of the livelier neighbouring resorts. One of the most popular pastimes is sipping cocktails and tucking in to fresh local fish in the over-water restaurant – reached by a wooden bridge from the beach.
Sun, sea, and sand
Few beaches rival Camp de Mar’s enviable white sand and turquoise waters. Its location in the south west of Majorca is a sheltered spot that’s protected from the wind, and as such offers a sunbathing paradise. Add a sprinkling of straw sunshades, a smattering of beach bars, and a cracking view and you have beach holiday perfection.
Just a 10-minute drive from Camp de Mar is Port d’Andratx – a scenic fishing village with an upscale cruise port. Grab a seat in one of the waterside bars or restaurants for people-watching and celeb-spotting among the super yachts. And it happens to be one of the best places to watch the sunset, too.
The Golf de Andratx golf course is within easy reach of Camp de Mar. This 18-hole championship course is one of the most demanding courses in the Mediterranean. Once the notoriously tricky sixth hole has been conquered (appropriately named the Green Monster), you’re rewarded at the eighth hole. With spectacular views across the bay of Camp de Mar, the hole also has a halfway house offering Majorcan tapas and thirst-quenching beverages.
