Everything was great at this hotel. A really good welcome on arrival with champagne. Location right by the beach & shops nearby. The hotel was extremely clean everywhere. Food excellent with a wide choice. Great outside pool with views of the sea & a small swim up pool on the cocktail terrace on the 6th floor. Different entertainment every night. The overall thing that stood out were all the staff, who were friendly, polite & courteous. We had a great time & would definitely go back. Highly recommended. More
Have stayed at this hotel for the last 5 years we have had a duplex room on 8 floor.this hotel is superb the standards over the last 5 years have not stopped but improved this hotel is a credit to the manager and her staff who are very professional and polite cannot do enjoy for you food is absolutely amazingMore
Visited this hotel for 11nights in July. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Reception staff are very helpful & friendly. Room was a sea & pool view on a high floor, which we emailed & requested before departure. Food is excellent, & staff in the restaurant are very efficient & polite. Everywhere in the hotel is spotlessly clean. My only gripe (& this is only a minor issue) is some of the entertainment in the evening was a bit of a strange choice for this type of hotel. There was quite a heavy rock band, a Bob Marley tribute & the day we left it was a DJ!!?? Some of the sun parasols around the pool could also do with changing as they were broken & a little grubby. Overall, I would recommend this lovely hotel & cannot wait to return myself at some point in the future.More
A very good hotel in an idyllic setting
My partner and I have just returned from Cala Millor where we enjoyed almost two weeks of chilled out bliss. Even after having arrived past midnight we were provided with food in the restaurant before retiring to bed. The room was basic but clean however we would have liked more storage (shelves and drawers). Excellent view of the pool and Med from the balcony. Breakfasts were plentiful and full of variety for all tastes. In the evenings the food again was delicious and you are allocated a table of your choice for the remainder of your stay along with two options of sittings. Also allowed is one visit to La Espiga, with the à la carte menu where the beef was simply divine with excellent waiter service and knowledge. The availability of poolside beds was no issue as the hotel had introduced a no reservation policy before 10.15 due to guests having abused the system by laying down towels early morning unattended and going for breakfast which as I am sure many of you find somewhat irksome. The infinity pool and bar upstairs is well worth a visit due to the breathtaking views and relaxed ambiance. In addition the waiter Luka was a joy in this chilled out area. He was very welcoming and friendly throughout and always greeted guests with a cheery 'hola que tal' We took advantage of the proximity to the town and hired a rickshaw style bike to ride along the wide promenade to Cala Bona. There was also a miniature land train that ran to neighbouring Sa Coma and S'illot so there is plenty to see and do. We also ventured on two trips to Palma and the Soller part of the island which were both awesome. As regards the evening entertainment, we found that having finished dinner at 9.45, seats were in short supply. However the waiters, in particular Jorge and Carlos, were able to set up for us a table and two chairs often right at the front! The music itself was mixed. Personally I am more inclined to listen to Rock and Indie but to be fair enjoyed several songs covered by the bands/artists. In all honesty this hotel is very good. It is relaxed, comfortable with friendly helpful staff everywhere. To make it excellent in my eyes, the hotel should really provide a safe with a deposit laid down rather than the 20 Euros flat cost and as mentioned provide more space in the room for clothes etc. The good points far outweigh any criticism and made our stay overall most enjoyable. Muchas Gracias!More
Another Fab stay at this hotel
Our last visit to the Playa Cala Millor was for a week in July 2018. We had such a fab time that we decided to return this year for 2 weeks and we certainly weren't disappointed. Check in was handled very efficiently and along with a glass of Cava we headed off to our sea view room on the 5th floor. The room as last year was clean and comfortable and had just about everything that we needed along with a wonderful view of the pool and sea. There was a lack of shelf space in the wardrobes but we adapted and this in no way spoilt our holiday. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday by our singing cleaner Loli who was absolutely fab :-) The hotel was very clean, well maintained and has an absolutely fantastic hard working staff team. In the main restaurant there was a good fresh selection of food both for breakfast and evening meal. We would also recommend trying the A La Carte restaurant which you need to pre book and adhere to a dress code of long trousers. We did at times also have lunch in the hotel which was competitively priced and served fresh. There are also alternatives throughout the local area. The hotel has a great pool area and although there was at times the usual problem with sun loungers, I have to say that this WAS NOT all the hotels fault. The hotel has a policy which you are informed of during check in and they did at times remove towels from unattended loungers during the early morning period. Evening entertainment was on the whole very good with a good variety of acts and a lovely selection of cocktails :-) If you fancy exploring and don't want to drive then there is a great local bus service with stops just around the corner from the hotel. Ask at reception and they will give you a timetable and information. All in all we had another fantastic stay at the Playa Cala Millor and will certainly be visiting again at some time in the future :-) More
