Dirty hotel, sickness bugs and freezing pools - would not return to this hotel!
We stayed at this hotel in September 2019. We have stayed at a protur before and we were looking forward to our holiday. Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. We were travelling with four children aged between 8 and 15 weeks. The hotel was in a state of disrepair, the cleaners, certainly for our room, were useless. The pools were absolutely freezing-the children could not swim. The training pool, which was the warmest of all the pools but still freezing, was absolutely filthy. Even the indoor pool that children were allowed in from 1-3 each day was freezing. The cot mattresses were covered in stains and came without mattress protectors- we wouldn't let the babies sleep on them so had to share our bed with them. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on and left us with backache all morning. They were two singles pushed together which subsequently separated during the night. The kids clubs were regularly cancelled due to low attendance, which was very disappointing for the children. We all came down with a terrible sickness bug at the end of the holiday which was just a vile end to a pretty poor holiday. It makes me question the hygiene in the kitchens of the hotel. Some of the high chairs were filthy and covered in what looked like mould. The showers ran hot and cold making it very unpleasant to shower. The evening Entertainment was terrible. The juice and slushy machines stank, they can't have been cleaned properly and it was very off putting indeed. The only good point was the food, although having come down with the sickness bug it puts me off to think that we ate there. We go abroad every year and this is by far the worse "4 star" hotel we have stayed in. Definitely not a 4 star in our opinion and we would certainly not return to this or any other holiday Village hotel in the future.More
Best family holiday(s) ever!!
Recently returned from hv Majorca for the 2nd time this year with my sister and my 4 year old boy. Wow!! Where to begin! This place is amazing!! We honestly didn't think we could top our visit here in may but my gosh our recent trip was even better than the first! The food is amazing, breakfast especially! And the a la carte restaurants are really nice and nice change from the busy buffet restaurant. Drinks are really good, dread the think how many bottles of prosecco we got through in a week but it was a lot lol! Rooms are super clean, and really spacious! Our room was block 3 facing outside the hotel and it was perfect! So quiet you could hear a pin drop! Perfect for a chill! Kids club FANTASTIC!! The staff here are second to none! So happy, enthusiastic, always happy to stop for a natter! My son just adored them all! Especially cassius, daisy, Becky, Hollie, I could literally go on for days (if I could remember all their names 🤦♀️) just amazing!! Last but by no means least the entertainment team! Omg these guys were just UNREAL!! How they still had energy in October is beyond me 😂 we saw some fantastic shows performed by this lot! Charlie is literally the loveliest guy on the planet and we all adored him! And Aaron, wow that guy can sing! Especially enjoyed the ed sheeren show (that was in may, unfortunately didn't see it this visit ☹) they are all individually very talented people! It's a pity it won't be the same bunch performing next year but if the standards are just as high I'm certain the next team with be just as brilliant! All in the most perfect holiday for families! We're gonna try hv Turkey next year but I have a feeling we may be squeezing in little week to hv Majorca aswell ☺ More
Family holiday, staff excellent, some good and bad bits
We’ve just returned from our first holiday as a family of four, travelling with our two young sons (3 year old and 11 month old) where we spent 10 days at the HVM. We were there in the run up to the hotel closing for the winter, but you could not tell as the staff were excellent. We were particularly impressed with the kids entertainment team, who were always enthusiastic, helpful and fun. Our 3 year old loved the kids club (90 minute sessions 2 /3 times a day for aged 3+), and the evening parties (run from c7pm until 9pm, followed by entertainment for adults until around 11pm). Our youngest enjoyed the 30 minute drop in session for babies (but we did not pay for the creche sessions). The food was on the whole good. We found breakfast and lunch to be a little basic, but the evening meals were a good standard, although some nights were better than others. The Halloween dinner was excellent, and the entertainment team had really gone to town with the decorations. Drinks were decent too, although there was not much choice of cocktails. We found it easy to get a drink, as there was never a large queue. Our room was fine, and was cleaned almost daily (the maids have one day a week off from cleaning each block), although the drains in the bathroom developed a foul smell over the period we were there. The pools were all very cold, to the extent that our 3 year old did not want to spend any time them. But there is a lot of choice, with two main pools, a small shallow pool for toddlers, a partially covered pool, a splash park and a fun pool. There is also an indoor pool, which we used on a day of rain, but that was cold as well. Warmer pools would definitely improve the hotel. The location is not ideal, as there is a 20/25 minute walk into Cala Millor, and the beach, but there is a mini bus which does the journey in about 5 minutes (running every 20 minutes or so). This is nick-named the party bus as the driver plays fun tunes, great for the kids. The hotel overall is geared up for families with young children, having plenty to do through the kids clubs. One thing that marred our holiday was that myself, and my two young sons, both became ill with a stomach bug during our holiday. There appeared to be a number of guests that also had a sickness bug whilst we were there, and the illness spoilt our last 3 days at the hotel. Overall, cant fault the entertainment staff, but the hotel wasn’t 5* (as Tui state on their website).More
First time at a holiday village, travelled as a family of 10 4 kids aged from 14- 7 years old and 2 grand parents. The holiday catered for all and offered something for everyone, different pools and the food was very good best we have eaten in an all inclusive, drinks were also very good and no real queues at the bar, would defiantly recommend to people with young families we had a great holiday calla Millor also worth a visit nice beach and bars, only thing that would of made holiday slightly better would of been if the football pitch had been open for the kids to play on when the soccer academy wasn’t onMore
No hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Booked with tui for 1 week in mid October Everything aboit the whole was more than adequate, entertainment team were modern, professional and very good at what they do Food was good, found something to eat everyday, kebab shack is the stroke of geneis, Hotel run shuttle bus was another fantastic little service, it runs every 15 minutes to a lovely little beach about 5 minutes drive away or 20 minutes walk, we took full use of the bus and also the nice walk on plenty of occasions I won't rant on and on but in a nutshell everything works exceedingly well here and excellent value for money Would I come back - YES OVERALL RATING: 8.9/10 last thing The hotel is officially 4* but because of how well run the hotel is and the quality of the people that work day to day there, got those reasons I give 5*More
