We recently spent 2 fabulous weeks at the Cala Bona. The hotel is well situated and is within walking distance of shops bars restaurants and beach. The rooms are pleasantly furnished if a little short of storage space. They were kept spotlessly clean with daily maid service. Tea and coffee making facilities available in each room with a small fridge. Towels for hire at reception for beach and sun beds. Plenty of sun beds available. The food was excellent with a great choice for breakfast and evening meal. Pool bar excellent. Nightly entertainment acts most were very good some very mediocre. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Local taxis are reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and hope to return soonMore
THANK you hotel calabona for yet another fantastic holiday with you all and our friends in our favourite place to be. Fantastic restaurant food and staff. Bar staff are yet again the most amazing set of staff who are always smiling even when they are tired. Amazing people hopefully will be seeing them all next year. Amazing hotel well done sebastian and the reception team for everything you all do so well. Best wishes to you all Mick and Brenda xxMore
This hotel as always been my happy place and I loved it here. This visit I had booked in advance direct with the hotel and paid deposit. On arrival I paid the outstanding amount. After a few days My husband and I were approached in the restaurant in front of all the other guests and announced that they had made a mistake and that we owed further money. I was not happy with this and the following morning I paid the extra amount. I did not mind paying as a mistake had been made but to say this in front of other guests was totally inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable. A letter under my room door would have been far better. Most other aspects of the hotel were as good as always. Very clean with wonderful staff. In our opinion the food does not have the same selection as it used too and would have been better not to have just a weekly repeat. We have been back a week and are still reeling from what happened. I was due to have an operation on Friday but blood pressure was far too high for this too happen. So much for having a relaxing time to prepare for the operation. Hence we will not be returning.More
We only visited here for coffees and night time drinks and the great entertainment. Great postion next to the harbour, lots of tables inside and out and even then sometimes hard to get a seat. Waiter service only and the waiters are really good and friendly and nothing too much trouble. prices are good also. People we speak to who stay there say it is a lovely hotel to stay inMore
We arrived home from the 'Hotel Cala Bona" yesterday (5th oct) after a 2 week stay. The hotel staff were the friendliest we have encountered in a very long time. They were always happy to help (even with my basic Spanish pronunciation). As other reviewers have already mentioned, the hotel is in the perfect position on the bay. We booked a sea view room and it was lovely waking up to the sight of the ocean and it's small fleet of local fishing boats every morning. Our block was situated a couple of hundred metres away from the main building but this wasn't a problem at all. For us, it was the hotels evening entertainment that gained lots of brownie points. I love to have a dance on holiday and i was not disappointed. From Motown to soft rock.... it was all there. We never had a problem getting a sun bed round the lovely pool area (even though some people still insisted on 'bed reserving' at silly early o'clock)! We also enjoyed a couple of lunches at the poolside snack bar. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. If I am completely honest, there was a lot more food choice at the Protur Alicia where we stayed in cala bona last year but, having said that, you wouldn't go hungry here. Cala Bona is one of our favourite destinatilns so i would definately recommend a visit.More
