Aluasoul Alcudia Bay
Revamped for 2017, the adults-only AluaSoul Alcudia Bay flaunts chic interiors and a simple but stylish pool scene. And the beach is just a 10-minute stroll away.
This place had a makeover in 2017, when the rooms, restaurants and public spaces were given a brand new, modern look. Inside, rooms follow a white-on-white theme with luxe touches, like blackout curtains and rain showers. Outside, meanwhile, you'll find a smart pool area with sunbeds and umbrellas.
Location-wise, it’s anchored 10 minutes’ walk from the beach, and five minutes further gets you to Alcudia’s pretty old town.

Good, bad and ugly
So it's the first week of october and just got back after a very tiring week at this hotel, we chose it because of the good experience we had at the alua hotel in Ibiza last year but the two hotels are poles apart. My wife and i (we are both 60) probably averaged three hours sleep per night due to the constant noise both inside and outside the hotel, our room overlooked the pool and bar area but once the "entertainment" ends people are allowed to sit outside for as long as they want....and they do so, usually till about 2am and directly underneath the rooms, in addition gangs of local youths gather at weekends to race motorbikes up and down the paralel road, this continued until 4am.also several dogs owned by the adjacent villa will bark all night, after complaining i was assured the noise issues would be addressed....they weren't, instead a bottle of cheap plonk was sent up to our room with an apology. The entertainment was poor at best, usually just a woman singing and a quiz, we went to another hotel down the road most evenings. The entertainment manager Alberto who spoke only broken english was just annoying and told inappropriate "jokes" punctuated with a childish giggle, the food was ok and the room clean as was the rest of the hotel, take a tip from me and stay in the Belle vue area where there was much more going onMore
Let down by food
My partner and I have just returned from a three night stay at the hotel as part of our cruise and stay. We arrived at the hotel via the airport transfer bus provided by TUI which dropped off less than 10 couples. Check in seemed to take a very long time per couple but staff were friendly and efficient. We went to our room (225) which was very bright and airy with a huge comfy bed. There was however a very odd smell which I couldn't quite put my finger on but it transpired when we opened the bathroom door the next morning the wood had become wet and was rotting (see pics) due to a very low lip on the shower tray. The hotel caters for an international audience mainly more mature adults (a few young couples were seen) so the entertainment at the hotel includes a mix of activities by the pool and the pool bar as well as singers and music over the sound system which normally stopped about 11pm. The quizzes were quite entertaining. I felt sorry for Alberto who is very popular but I think struggled with communicating in English to a wide audience which meant he stopped his jokes halfway through. That is not a criticism because I heard him speaking German (I think) to a couple and I can just about order two beers in Spanish. The inclusive package had a number of spirits ie Spanish Baileys and beer and wine freely available but the Irish Baileys did cost. My main issue with the hotel is the food. The restaurant was very clean and the staff worked very hard to maintain it. The buffet was a huge L shape. Walking along there was a wide range of salad ingredients, then hot food, then a chef cooking food on a flat top then more food and turning the corner of the L yet more food. The hotel is clearly trying to cater to everyone's tastes but there was so much food choice it meant it wasn't hot as not enough heat lamps, slightly disorganised in order and also not particularly good quality. As a result, we ate out of the hotel more often than not. The pool area had ample sunbeds and umbrella's however most people seem to have gone to the beach. The Balinese beds are a chargeable extra (or were with TUI)More
Good clean hotel.. But ?!!!?
Stayed at this hotel in September with my husband & 16 yr old son & sister in law & partner.. This hotel is spotless clean & rooms are modern... Check in was quick, only because I jumped off the bus & got in there first (heard from previous reviews).. we all had a glass of carva on arrival.. Firstly the bar staff are amazing.. friendly & work so hard.. a lot of the time with rude holiday makers ?.. the entertainment team are amazing.. not pushy at all ( like other reviews).. very friendly.. there a credit to this hotel.. The food... was not to our taste at all.. We ate out most of the week.. The other 4 star hotels we’ve been to was nothing like this.. There was one grumpy young lady in the restaurant who basically threw a knife & fork at my son as we were 20 mins before closing for breakfast... We ate in the al carte restaurant once.. Amazing food.. the gentleman who served us was the best.. so polite.. he was a star.. credit to the hotel.. no need to get up early for sunbeds.. there’s always a bed available.. About a ten minute walk to the beach.. I don’t want to sound a party animal.. but going to an adult hotel.. you’d think a bit of a party vibe.. (not much as I’m 45.. but a little would be nice).. Not going to get this at this hotel.. Don’t mean to be rude or disrespectful but the average age of holiday makers at this hotel is 60.. they complain about the noise/music/entertainment.. Which had to be turned down & ended earlier as expected.. coz of the moaners.. it’s an adult hotel... ?!??!? The all inclusive drinks are good.. Ask for branded spirts, or your have to cheap stuff.. The Tui rep was amazing... Best I’ve seen yet.. Young gentleman.. he new his job.. Well done ??.. Overall a good hotel if your 60 plus ?.. Sorry but won’t be back.. But thank you alua soul xx More
Have just returned from a short break and what a lovely relaxing holiday we had. We booked through TUI and chose this hotel due to the good reviews. We are two old school friends celebrating our 50th birthdays looking for an adults only hotel with a pool, a spa and near the beach and this ticked all the boxes! It didn't disappoint. The reception staff were very welcoming on arrival with a lovely glass of cava whilst we were checking in. We were given a keyless wristband which was fab not having to worry about carrying/remembering a key. We had a twin room which was very clean and bright and we had a balcony overlooking the pool...really lovely. The pool area was also very clean and we noticed the staff work amazingly well to maintain the cleanliness. There were plenty of sunbeds and we had beautiful weather. There was just one bar in the hotel, the pool bar, which served lovely cocktails and the staff were very friendly. Although it didn't affect us because we had good weather, the bar has just a small covered over area and the reception doesn't have a great deal of seating so when the weather is bad there's nowhere much to go. We were all-inclusive and the food was good. There was plenty of choice. The waiting staff were efficient and pleasant. We visited the spa a few times, it had a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Again can't fault the cleanliness. Very relaxing and not busy either. We were supplied with a towelling robe and slippers in our room which was nice to use for the spa. The beach was a 10 minute walk away. A lovely sandy beach, clear sea and lots of fish! There were plenty of activities during the day at the hotel, archery, stretching and shuffleboard and there was no pressure to join in. We enjoyed the sangria making (maybe too much!). In the evening there was an early evening activity like bingo or music quiz and then a singer or karaoke. We enjoyed the entertainment and that's probably due to Alberto. What an asset to the hotel this young man is! He works incredibly hard organising the entertainment, chatting to all the guests and genuinely seems to love making sure everyone enjoys their holiday. Well done Alberto!More
We have just returned from this hotel & were very disappointed in the food. The choice was quite restricted & was covered in olive oil. We stayed in the Alua Soul in Es Cana in Ibiza this time last year & it was amazing.....this is why we chose the Alua Soul Alcudia Bay this year...expecting it to be the same as Ibiza as they are the same group. Don't get me wrong...the bar & entertainment staff were fantastic, the room & all public areas were immaculately clean...in fact when we opened the door to our room all I could smell was bleach. The balcony was small too...just enough room for the small table & 2 chairs. We were also surprised to find the hotel only has 1 bar which is outside & quite small. This is fine if the weather is dry, but we had 1 day of rain & the bar was very full as the guests had to come inside. Apart from the bar, the only other place to sit was in the reception area, which had very few seats. It seems that the hotel is only "geared up" for fine weather. More
