Riu Costa del Sol
The Riu Costa del Sol's a blend of two beside-the-beach hotels.
The Riu Costa del Sol is a beach-facing hotel with a glossy feel. You're well taken care of if the kids are in tow – they've got a splash playground and a packed activity timetable to work through.
There’s a long sandy beach just across the road, which you can reach in less than a minute’s walk. Torremolinos’ lively centre is a little further on, and a cab gets you there in five.

Stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it.On arrival it seemed huge, and it is a big hotel, but once settled in you soon realise that it is as private or as sociable as you want to be and it doesnt seem impersonal. Staff are great and service excellent. Despite being full, we had no problem getting a sin bed at any time of day and queues in the restaurants were pretty non existent.Food was varied, plentiful and very good standard.More

Will not return
The location of the hotel is good, at the beach but also close to the metro station to Malaga. The hotel itself is average. Food tasteless, drinks are made of cheap local spirits. Ice cold water in the pools, except for one which was in the shades after 3 pm. Evening entertainment below average though people didn’t seem to mind as it was fully packed each night. Will not return.More
