Vincci Seleccion Estrella del Mar
This chic hotel has a great pool scene just steps from the beach. And then there’s the beach club, complete with spa.
This stylish hotel is just a couple of minutes’ walk from one of Marbella’s best beaches. It’s got three big pools back at base and two more at the nearby beach club which you can use for a bit extra.
Food-wise, there are two restaurants – a buffet and an à la carte. Both serve international dishes with a Mediterranean twist. Plus there’s a wine bar which sometimes hosts live music as well as a pool bar.

Arrived on a Thursday and after a nightmare at the Airport and our transfer not picking us up and leaving us stranded arriving at the Hotel was something we looked forward too. Well it nearly went wrong straight away. As we arrived and went to check in the receptionist said your all checked in. Please sit down for a minute as the cleaners are still working on your room. They offered us a drink but this was not what we wanted. After some moaning we were quickly placed into another room. We had been upgraded initially from a superior to family room but we just wanted any room at this Point so went for the superior. The room it’s self was amazing. It was spacious, clean and we had a pool and sea view which was nice. The bed was comfortable and slept well for the stay. The hotel surroundings are amazing and the pool, bar and staff we great. Nothing seemed to much of an ask. The big problem this hotel has is the food. It’s just awful. I can’t say anything more. If you need to go anywhere from this hotel then a 5 minute walk to bus stop is the way to go. It’s 2 euros to Marbella central and then an extra 1.30 euros to Puerto Banus. A taxi from Puerto Banus to hotel is 26e and from Marbella to hotel is 17e. I have rated this as 5 star even though the issues we had on arrival and the food being awful. Don’t be put off booking this amazing hotel More
Fantastic short break
We are two couples (mid 40’s) and stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It did not disappoint on any level. Everything from check in to check out was perfect. The place is spotless and is absolutely stunning. Rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious, as are the bathrooms. The grounds are well maintained and there are several terraced pool areas to choose from. The staff we met could not do enough for you and there was a super lady on the pool bar during our stay who really stood out - efficient and always going the extra mile (apologies to the young lady but we didn’t write down her name). Drinks and snacks are very reasonable (€4 for a large glass of rose wine, €3-4 for a beer, €10 for a glass of Moët champagne, €5-9 for pasta/salads etc). It is about 5 minutes walk straight to the beach and there are a couple of beach bars and restaurants around the hotel (try La Scala - very nice, very friendly, great for people watching!) It’s around €15 in a taxi to Marbella old town and €25 into Peurto Banus. You will not be disappointed if you book the Vincci.More
Had a large family room with an upstairs bedroom and downstairs living area. Staff were all very nice and friendly. The place is very clean. Four pools meant no crowding. Access to the beach club was included in our room. This was very nice and really added value. Breakfast buffet was good. Lunch at the pool is just okay, but much better at the beach club. Supper was really not good. We tried both the buffet and the dinning. The restaurant was unacceptable. The hotel is somewhat isolated making car rental almost a requirement. Overall good experience and recommended for someone looking for a child friendly beach holiday.More
