So let's take a moment to reflect that this hotel is more aimed at the older client, which is absolutely fine, but it has its flaws. We ourselves are a good few years away from our bus passes and hip replacements yet. Let's deal with the elephant in the room first. The entertainment, its pretty poor most nights but it has its hard core of dancers testing out their new hips and knees that's entertaining, and is very cute and charming seeing all the love from the couples on the dance floor (I hope the wife and I can dance into our 70s80s), but it's still only marginally better than the TV, when it works. Happy hour is a bonus as its 2 for one ,however once that has passed the prices are relatively akin to city centre prices on a Saturday night. Food is adequate and plentiful with something for most ,we never had a night where we thought oh no same again. HOWEVER LETS TALK ABOUT TROUSER GATE. 2nd night in I went for dinner to the restaurant in my blue dress chino shorts and the obligatory holiday shirt ... shorts just above the knee pretty fetching imho.I was then approached by whom I presume was the restaurant manager and was greeted with a welcome and then promptly asked to leave,as shorts were not aloud at dinner time, being the ever diplomatic person I am I did not create a scene and I went and changed into my only pair of long Jean's I had travelled in...this presented me with an issue, "iam on holiday I came with shorts". So we had to go to the shopping centre the following day and buy 2 pairs of long trousers to accommodate the restaurant's rules.40 euros later and I make the grade. Fast forward a week and then they change the rules ...would you believe it!!!!! ..dress shorts are now fine to wear. So i wore my legs with pride at dinner time for the second week. But more than a little narked that I had to go and spend money on trousers. The spa ..pretty good when it was open ,closed for maintenance/renovation in our 2nd week.wait a minute is this not getting to the busy time.we got use of it once .. Pool ....no sun till afternoon unless you get the slither of sunshine that breaks through the other building's from about 9am and creates a wedge that gets ever bigger over time. Good luck in getting the relevant sunbed😄 But in the afternoon it's fine with a fair amount of beds and a bar with those city centre prices outwith the happy hour. Rooms average and slightly dated ,but do have a fridge kettle and safe included ,but your not on holiday to sit in your room are you? Showers are still way behind ...when your in the shower and 2 floors up flush away last nights dinner your going to get scalded.so when you hear the flush step away from the shower 🤣 Cleaner was in every day,and done a decent job. Staff are super attentive and always smiling in all areas of the establishment. Location for the area is spot on and you be hard pushed to find better. All in all we had a great holiday did the hotel spoil anything? No.. it was our holiday and it was what we made it ..hotel is imo average clean and tidy albeit a touch dated ..would I stay again ? Probably not anytime soon but never say never...More
Excellent- PLEASING HOTEL.!
Excellent hotel, WELL RUN ! Staff really make this hotel, so welcoming and friendly .The hotel is very clean and the food is also very nice with a pleasing large ambient restaurant. Rooms also very nice with English tv channels (a real bonus) and superb air con (much appreciated when returning from a stroll)Close to beach /promenade (opposite)marina ,boat trips ,nice zoo nearby(bio park) mini train, and horse carriage rides also on prom .Plenty of restaurants bars etc in surrounding area but not disturbed for sleeping facilities (,good glazing) Shows of an evening with Happy hour(stretched to 90min) drinks reasonably priced anyways .Nice spa, at hotel also. The area around the hotel /town/promenade is very flat for for walking/stroll( another bonus) would I return ? you guess! (YES!)More
A pleasant stay
Very good location, close to the beach, cafè and shops. Very polite, helpful and efficient staff in the reseption. Nice rom, very nice bathroom, everything clean. And a good bed which is not usual in Spain. But this hotel is for elderly people, the entertainment and the walker cars in the reseption. I was here with my mom, she is 75, so it was perfect fore us. We did not try the breakfast or eat any meals at the hotel, neither the spa or the svimmingpool the 3 nigths we stayed. Because of the beds i would stay here again with my husband.More
Stayed for 2 evenings with family/friends enroute to Madrid. Very clean, excellent facilities, very friendly/helpful staff, ideally located for beach & marina and good choice of bars/restaurants close by.More
