An infinity pool with views of the Mediterranean and a beach on tap are just two reasons to stay here.
Location-wise, this hotel is just across from a sandy beach, with shops, bars and restaurants spilling out on the doorstep. And if you want to go further afield, central Fuengirola is a 15-minute walk away.
The pool is the centrepiece – it’s an L-shaped infinity design overlooking the sea. Elsewhere, there’s a buffet restaurant serving up Brit favourites and a lounge bar that hosts dancing.

My mother and I (56 years old and 26 years old) stayed at this resort for a week at the end of July. We have been to Costa Del Sol many times but normally stay in Calahonda, this is the first time we stayed at this hotel. Our room was on the 7th Floor (room 730) on the road side. Lovely view from the balcony of the beach. Yes the room was a little tired, light switches/ plugs coming of the wall. There is limited plugs. We took a 4 plug extension wire with us to plug more than one device in, which was really helpful. The electrics only work when you plug in your key card into the box and you are only given one. Room was a good size for us and the bath room was in good condition, water pressure in the shower was amazing. The maids that cleaned the rooms were very good. Food was lovely, we are both picky eaters but found more than one thing thing everyday. We ate most things including salad, no problems. We always found a sun bed even going down at 11/11:30. The pool was nice, beautiful pool overlooking the sea, could be a bit windy. The indoor pool was nice but does need a bit of a do up. The spa lady that worked down there didn’t seem impressed that people were using the pool and not paying her for spa treatments (pool is free). Beach is a nice sandy beach, the waves can be big but right by the lifeguards if you go in front of the hotel. We didn’t rent a sun bed but they were on 5€ a day. The Beach gets very busy at the weekends with Spanish family’s coming to sit at the front with their chairs and umbrellas but we didn’t have a problems with sitting with them. Entertain was your usual singers, yes they did sing a lot of older songs but they do ask for requests. Mary was very good, worth a listen to. We went on a trip to the zoo, it’s about a 20/30 minute walk. And a trip to Mijas, a village up in the hills. If you buy through TUI it’s about £25/30 per person. Because we know the area well, we walked to the bus stop (about a 10 minute walk) and got on the bus (M122) which cost 1.55€ per person per way and takes about 15 minutes to get to Mijas. Overall, we would definitely come back to this hotel and enjoyed our time here! More
Value for money
Review from May 2019. Because I visited in February Tripadvisor prevents you from writing another in a short time scale. Couldn’t fault any specific area with the hotel. We stayed in a refurbished room for the first time which was modern and brighter. The ceiling fan was a bonus because that’s all you needed whilst you were sleeping. Not sure about the wardrobe having no doors. The shower tray tends to overflow. Tip, make sure the bath mat doesn’t cover the drain hole. My only negative observation was that big George customer service was poor, very blunt and intermittent. ( also his singing is interesting). Miguel and the other bar staff were great.. I’ll be back again but hope George is not on the entertainment program.More
Worth the money, would recommend
Great location, only 30 min transfer from Malaga Airport. Nice rooms, good air con and comfy beds. Rooms have a balcony and a great view of pool, beach, sea. Bathrooms would’ve been nice when new but are in need of a bit of work now. Infinity pool is lovely and looks into the beach. Never struggled to get a bed by the pool. Sun comes out 11:30ish, sun stays out ALL day, very hot! Beach infront of hotel was €5 for a comfy mattress sunbed and umbrella all day - great value for money. Good food and great happy hours, 7pm-close, all drinks 2 for 1! Variety of entertainment each night and it was good quality. The food was good as I said, even myself as quite a fussy eater ate plenty each day. Not really a negative, but it is the same choices most nights, the meats available are roughly the same, maybe only one meat/fish dish will change each day. One of the most frustrating things was there are hardly any plug sockets in the whole room. We couldn’t find 1 so we had to unplug the kettle and TV. We then found one in the bathroom however it was up high and meant phones were charging whilst dangling from the wall! Also charging a device when there’s water all around isn’t such a smart idea. The other main negative is you aren’t allowed any of your own snacks, water or drinks by the pool, staff tell you to put your things away if they catch you. Yet they charge €3 for the smallest cup of juice, no larger than 200ml outwith the snack bar happy hour 12-2pm. Bottles of water at supermarkets were 49 cent, how do they expect people to not buy and use them! Overall a great stay for the money and would happily return. Too hot to do any trips, 5 pool days and 2 beach days. Laziest holiday ever! Would highly recommend!More
Booked the Angela for a cheap and cheerful break with a friend and wasn’t really expecting much but wow, so much more than I anticipated for the money we paid! I would definitely stay here again and I’d give the Angela 10/10 in terms of value for money. It could do with a little TLC in parts but for a low cost week in the sun, it ticked every box! The one and only complaint I had was the lack of plug sockets in the room but this minor gripe was overshadowed by the many positives which included; Speedy check-in Very helpful/knowledgeable reception staff Seaview/balcony Kettle/coffee/tea etc Spotlessly clean (every day) Free WiFi Free safe Just 20m from the beach Long restaurant hours and great choice Food was excellent (breakfast/dinner) Lots of bars/cafes/restaurants nearby Infinity Pool with plenty of sunbeds Evening entertainment every night (not my thing but lots of acts/shows on offer) Calm, peaceful & relaxing (adults only) Thank you to all the staff and management for a fabulous, totally chilled out week! I’ll definitely go back to the Angela one day and would recommend to anyone who loves a ‘no-frills’ but fabulous holiday! More
We've just returned from Angela Hotel .Had a great time , but , we like to go out and visit the local bars in the evening..We went out a couple of times but there just wasn't anywhere to go apart from restaurants and we'd already eaten at the hotel...we just wanted a bar and some entertainment ...In the end we settled for the hotel entertainment ,which was very good and Happy Hour prices were good ...although someone could have told the bar lady at the terrace bar that it was, in fact, Happy as I only ever saw her grumpy ..Had a problem with the shower in our room...the tray filled up to overflowing with every shower and took fifteen minutes to eventually empty..was sorted and lasted two days and started to overfill again , but as we were leaving in a couple of days anyway didn't bother to complain again ..didn't want the hassle...But apart from this it's a lovely hotel, close to the beach and food was good and we did have a good time .also the Cleaning staff were fantastic...More
