Arrived for a week and having read previous reviews about the hotel being for older people we found that to be the total opposite with people from the ages of 18 right upto 70's. Hotel is in a fantastic location only a few minutes walk from puerto marina and looked exactly like the tui brochure advertised. Staff were exceptional always ready to help and the hotel was immaculately clean. Only downside is the food is a bit repetitive but that was just a tiny little blip. Would highly recommend 10/10More
Great location , excellent Staff
What a great 4 day stay we have just had, staff friendly , food all good, pool area clean , nice rooms with a majority of them giving you great views. The only issue we had was a gentleman who sat near us at the pool who did like the occasional cigar which often would blow in the faces of other guests (referre russel and his wife). We did hear of a guest falling whilst getting up early morning to put his friends towels out. The floor was very slippery first thing in the morning and care was required when walking through these areas. We did not attend any of the evening entertainment at the hotel so I am unable to comment. The hotel was worthy of its 4 star rating and would return in the future . In my opinion maybe you should consider smoking areas. More
Just returned from our holiday at Sensimar Riviera. Had a great time staff are lovely from the minute you walk into the hotel. Our room was ready as soon as we arrived and was very spacious and clean with a fantastic view. Bar staff all friendly and make wonderful cocktails. The food. Was lovely with lots of choice every day and again the restaurant staff were friendly and kept the tables clean all the time. The only complaint I would have would be the entertainment a couple of the male singers were good but the rest left a lot to be desired,Helen and Andreas (entertainment team) were both brilliant. The White party on the Friday night was really good at the pool bar, best night.😆More
AVERAGE / BASIC
As an experienced traveller I would put this as a 3* hotel, it's always difficult to * rate a hotel as it varies from country to country (why there can't be one universal system so you know what you should get I don't know) Other reviewers seem amazed you are offered a welcome drink, the use of an iron, free toiletries, rooms cleaned daily. All of these are to be expected in todays travel market. Anyway, the good things - the room was ready on arrival (11.00am) so no waiting around. - I was pleased with the food & enjoyed every meal I had in the restaurant, however on several occasions my husband said his was not good at all (chewey meat, cold, tasteless) so I guess it depends what you choose. - the room was good with all the usuall amenities, nice bathroom, good shower. - Air con was great - very quiet. - The staff were pleasant & worked hard. - Great location. - No problem getting a sun lounger. - The entertainment, we only saw part of 3 acts & it was OK. We did not stay as no-one seemed to join in or dance, just sat there like dummies, so we went across the road & watched the live music there, much more of a fun atmosphere. The not so good - There are steps everywhere so if you have difficulty walking, this is not for you. - No porter, No help offered with bags. - They need more staff on the pool bar as I had to wait a good while to get served. -The floor in the bedroom was awful (has been stated by other guests) you cannot walk across it without it squeaking & groaning which woke my hubby in the night when I went to the bathroom. - the TV is very hit & miss, supposed to get BBC1, BBC2, ITV & Channel 4. Only got BBC1 & 2. - The place is clean where it needs to be. The glass balcony around the pool has not been cleaned in years & some of the panes have slipped out of the brackets & need repairing. The light fittings around the pool have globe style shades, these were covered in bird muck & needed a good clean. The balcony of our room was not mopped at all & has previous guests spillages on the floor. - the viole curtains in the room were stained & needed washing (Room 802) - Walls very thin, you can hear your neighbours talking / coughing / TV etc. Attention to detail is what makes an average hotel very good & this was missing. TIP. Catch the train to Malaga, they run every 20 minutes, fare 2.50 euro, beautiful city. Well worth a visit.More
Just returned from a great holiday. Having been self catering or bed and breakfast on recent holidays we were unsure of what to expect food wise, especially buffet style. We needn’t have worried - food was delicious and a great variety every night (11 night holiday) There was always something to tempt the taste buds even for the fussiest of eaters. Bedrooms were good - we were on the 8th floor (didn’t make any difference because of lifts) Enjoyed looking at the goings on in the Main Street as well as having a sea view. Next time I would ask for pool view as balcony was in the shade am with sun afternoon/evening and far too hot to sit out. Pool area was fabulous and very relieved that sun beds were available all day long. We tended to get sun beds in the grassed areas for a bit more privacy. All Staff worked very hard and were always pleasant and friendly. Hotel is in a great location right in the beach front. There are some bars and restaurants across the road and the marina is about 10 mins walk away with a huge variety. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. We hope to return to the hotel in the future. More
